Cosy Villa close to all Umbria has to offer!

We're Stuart and Katrina. We're both originally from the UK, Stuart from the South of England and Katrina from northeast Scotland. After years of having a second home in Italy, we decided to make Italy our permanent ‘neutral' home territory!

After retiring in 2021, I (Stuart) retrained and became a gentleman farmer growing organic produce and harvesting olives on our working farm.

Katrina, who speaks Italian fluently, has lived and worked in Italy for 20+ years. Katrina retired from her career as an Italian Tour Manager and now shares her Italian expertise as the co-host of our Villa and by designing bespoke travel experiences for our guests.

Another of your hosts is Orfeus the rescue Dalmatian. Or to use his full pedigree title: “Dartemis Villa Contis Orfeus.” But you can call him Orfie! He is shy and gentle and adores pasta!

The Villa is near Umbertide in Umbria, Italy. The mountains here are a stunning blend of natural beauty, history, and tranquility. Rolling green hills give way to rugged peaks, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful escape from the crowds.

These mountains are dotted with charming medieval villages, ancient monasteries, and scenic hiking trails that weave through forests, olive groves, and vineyards.
