We felt completely at home during our stay. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped – we had everything we needed. The beautiful, spacious pool was another real highlight and made our stay even more enjoyable. The host was incredibly friendly, helpful, and easy to reach. After we accidentally left something behind, she even kindly sent it back to us in Germany, which we really appreciated.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this accommodation. We would definitely love to come back!

Tranquil May fortnight

Set in beautiful woodland hills abundant with birdsong, wild flowers and countryside views, we woke every morning to the sound of cuckoos. Great central location for days out in interesting places - add appropriately 20 mins to journey times for winding down or up the hill. The house provided everything we needed. The pool is excellent although the May weather restricted our use. We felt very at home and would book again.

Beautiful house with fantastic garden

The house is very clean and well equiped. Pool is also very comfortable & with crystal clear water. Fantastic views. The road to the house is somewhat challenging and quite far uphill. If you like rural surroundings, this is a beautiful, quiet place.

Beautiful large country home

We had a wonderful time in this large farmhouse. It is very remote but easy to find with the owners clear instructions. The pool is amazing, there is a stunning view all around. The kitchen is a lovely big space to share home cooked meals with a large group. The kitchen is very well equipped. It is a beautiful home!

Beautiful stone farmhouse in Umbria

This property is amazing - about a 20 minute drive from Passignano Sul Trasimeno, up in the hills. It is truly remote - quiet and very peaceful. In spite of it being remote, it is only a 40 minute drive to Perugia for a day trip, and about 30 minutes to Cortona. The house is very comfortable, and the kitchen is amazing. The pool is beautifully maintained, and provides a wonderful oasis to relax. We were a party of 6 adults and there was plenty of room for us all. The house had lots of books, games (and children's toys if needed), and is a great place to simply unwind. Correspondence with Jane (the owner) was amazing. She provided us with very clear directions on how to get there (required) and also lots of instructions on how things work in the house, as well as points of interest in the area. Internet in the house is good, but coverage away from the house is non-existent.

An Unforgettable Stay at Casa Davide

Our stay at Casa Davide was one of the best we've had in years. The house is simply splendid: beautifully renovated and very clean, tastefully decorated, with fresh linens and comfortable bedding. The kitchen is very well equipped and spacious—the perfect place to host a large gathering. Each area of the house serves a purpose at different times of the day, whether it’s the shaded terrace with a view for sunset or a spot for an evening drink. The pool is truly a valuable asset… its surroundings are well laid out, with a lovely pergola shaded by a wisteria, and plenty of lounge chairs. The pool is spacious and deep! It allows for easy diving. It’s very clean and is regularly maintained during the stay. The house is located a bit away from village life. Only two houses are nearby, but with enough space not to feel too close to the neighbors. The surroundings are quite wild, but in 20 minutes by car, you can reconnect with the comforts of civilization. The welcome was easy, and communication with Jane was very efficient and pleasant. We highly recommend Casa Davide to anyone who loves this sublime region and the peace and quiet of this lovely vacation property. Thank you, Jane, for hosting us in your little paradise. First impression is that the grounds were not well maintained as the photos showed. Secondly, the property is described as a "lakefront villa". You drive past Lake Trasimeno on your way to the property, but there is no view of the lake, and the description is completely misleading. The only view of the valley below is taken from the front entrance, and since it was closed up, there were no other views to see. A big reason we chose this property was based on the photos; both inside and out.Once inside, the property smelled musty and apparently had been closed up for some time. All of the shutters were closed and could not be opened, and with no instructions on how to open them. All of the photos depict a bright, airy and welcoming space throughout, but nothing could be further from the truth. Knowing that a guest is due to arrive, the shutters should have been opened, allowing for fresh air and light inside the space, but we only found it to be dark, dingy, musty and very unwelcoming! At dusk, as we walked from the house to the car to retrieve our luggage, one of us tripped on the poorly lit stairs and sustained a severely sprained ankle, resulting in having to seek medical care.Unfortunately, this property was a complete disappointment. If you're considering this property, keep looking!

I am very sorry that you hurt your ankle falling down the stairs of the house inside immediately on arrival at dusk and left straight away. I tried very hard to answer your many questions as helpfully as I could beforehand. I hope your sprained ankle is better now, Unhappy as you were, a refund in these circumstances was not reasonable, not least as the I operate the 'most relaxed' polcy with regard to refunds. Jane
