In the heart of a sunny area, where the harmony between the rural environment and modern amenities come together to create a unique Rural Tourism experience, welcome to Casas da Luz!



This enterprise is an oasis of tranquillity, situated in a stunning setting that offers a spectacular view over the sea and the majestic surrounding mountains.



It is estimated that the head office of this enterprise was built in the 19th century, around the year 1880, and was subject to reconstruction works in 1934. In the 1970s, the house was acquired by Agostinha da Luz and three generations of this family have grown up there until the present day. It is in homage to this matriarch that the name Casas da Luz emerges.



Between 2020 and 2023, this space of memories and tradition composed of the main house and the annexed buildings underwent refurbishment and expansion works, with special care taken in the conservation of the various elements that characterise traditional Madeiran houses, including the stone walls and the wine press, where wine is still produced annually.



Divided into three welcoming units, each designed to provide maximum comfort and privacy: the Mother's House, divided into two floors, offers three spacious bedrooms; the Latada House located on the upper floor composed of two bedrooms and the Pedreira House, located on the ground floor, has a spacious bedroom.



At Casa da Latada you will find a fantastic T2, renovated and furnished with a contemporary taste while safeguarding the excellent materials present from its origin.

The accommodation offers a comfortable living room and a fully equipped kitchen in an "open space" layout. Still outside, in addition to enjoying the balcony with a view over the Atlantic Ocean, you can also enjoy a private barbecue.



You will still be gifted with an infinity pool, making it the perfect place to relax, refresh, and enjoy a relaxing swim while appreciating the stunning view that only Casas da Luz can offer you!



For culinary enthusiasts, we offer a small vegetable plantation and fruit trees to make your meals much more special. Feel at home and harvest the freshest, healthiest, and seasonal produce and incorporate them into your recipes.



Your days will start in the best possible way with our delicious daily breakfast of local products prepared with all the care!



To ensure your comfort during your stay with us, we provide regular cleaning service in each accommodation.



Moreover, all of our common areas will be cleaned daily, providing you with an immaculate and pleasant environment.
