Top marks for a lovely place to stay with everything on site to have a good time. We will be back.

After our much appreciated long stay we couldn’t have wished for a better place to come. The cottage was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable with all of our needs. If you need help with anything Anthony and Laura are so helpful! It was lovely to walk down to the beach so conveniently from the cottage without leaving the complex. The surrounding area has plenty of interesting places to visit which we did.

2 nights with grandchildren

Willow Cottage was perfect for our 2 days with the boys, the cottage was very clean and comfortable and well equipped. We were also close to amenities and not too far from the beach. A very good time was had by all.

Willow Cottage

This was our third time staying at Willow Cottage. Lovely comfortable stay . Good communication and any minor property issues resolved quickly. Would like other customers to report any property faults as we found kitchen tap needed a repair also previous stays fridge Was not working and one blind. We reported and all issues were sorted promptly with Anthony. We booked directly with Anchor Holidays and would recommend this company for good service and communication.

Willow Cottage

A lovely cottage which was just what we needed. Looks out onto a green area at the back so the kids can play out. This was actually cheaper than a caravan for the same period which was a Haven hideaway. Here you have a leisure pass included so you can go swimming without booking or having to pay extra for it.

A comfortable, cosy cottage in a nice location.

Willow cottage was clean , well decorated and cosy . We had an enjoyable stay . The sofas in the lounge were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for our needs. The patio furniture looked new but it might be beneficial to put a photo on the website as it may not be suitable for guests who need a back rest . Luckily we had brought some fold down chairs to use but having a picture upfront would be helpful .

A comfortable holiday home

Willow Cottage is a lovely little house, perfect for a family of four. Wigh comfortable sofas in the living area, a decent TV, dining table for four plus a reasonably sized kitchen fitted with everything you need. The bedrooms are cosy and comfortable with plenty of storage space and the bathroom and downstairs loo are the perfect size. There's a locely play area at the rear of the house too. Location is also great, with the site leisure centre, pub and shop not too far away and the beach a little further on. There's ample parking near the property, too.

Lovely stay would definitely recommend

Unfortunately I'm a clean freak so my expectations are high. This property just about met my standards but overall was very good. Had everything we needed and husband made a comment that he felt at home straight away in this cosy cottage. The decor was pleasing and we didn't incur any issues which is great. Would definitely recommend and we will be back at some point. Excellent communication and updates. Was able to use the facilities from when we arrived too.

Late check in / not as described

Upon arrival to the cottage at 4pm at the stated check in time the cleaners were still there so didn’t get into the property until 4.15pm. This was very frustrating after a long journey. There was no arrival welcome Gift which I had read others had received. It states there are games available for children to play, there was 1 adults jigsaw. This wasn’t an issue, again read it but wasn’t available. I was very shocked that were was not a single toilet roll left in either toilet or a black bag in the bin to start you off considering the amount you pay to stay there! Before arrival I asked how far away is the Parking but no one got back to me. If it gives you the option to ask a question when booking, why not get back to the customer. Yes it can be seen on the map but until you are there it’s hard to take it all in. It was hard at times to find a parking space Overall a nice stay, nice cottage with a few little niggles. Would have been better with a designated car parking space. Close location to Filey

Thank you for your feedback following your stay at Willow Cottage. We are glad you enjoyed the cottage overall, but we are disappointed by your score for customer service, as our records show you did not contact us once via the phone numbers or WhatsApp details provided in your pre-arrival communications and digital guidebook. It is difficult to address customer service when a guest does not reach out to give us the opportunity to assist: * **15-Minute Check-in Delay:** We sincerely apologise that the cleaners finished at 4:15 PM. We have full-time staff on site; had you phoned or messaged us upon arrival at 4:00 PM, we would have immediately arranged compensation for the slight delay. * **Missing Essentials & Welcome Gift:** Items like toilet rolls, bin bags, welcome gifts, or extra games are easily rectified. Our local team keeps these in stock on site and would have happily dropped them off to you within minutes had you notified us. * **Value for Money:** You secured a discounted last-minute deal for a peak August stay, saving a significant amount compared to standard summer rates. We always strive to deliver exceptional value alongside high standards. * **Communication & Parking Map:** Prior to arrival, we send comprehensive information—including direct contact numbers, emails, site maps, and access to our digital guidebook (which our backend tracking shows was never opened or viewed during your stay). While parking at The Bay is communal, our detailed map shows exactly where to park relative to the cottage. As stated throughout our digital guidebook and Terms & Conditions, we urge guests to contact us immediately using our 24/7 phone or WhatsApp numbers if anything is missing or delayed. We are always on hand to put things right instantly—but we do rely on guests telling us at the time so we can help!
