Treknow Summerhut

Enjoy breath-taking sea views at Treknow Summerhut, situated within walking distance to the North Cornwall town of Tintagel.



The hut provides a comfortable stay for two, within a self-contained annex in Treknow. The North Cornwall coastal footpath can be found on your doorstep, with the tidal beach of Trewarmett Strand within walking distance. Great for swimmers and surfers, or for those who just want to watch the world go by the ‘Crows Nest’ raised balcony offers uninterrupted sea views across green fields towards the Atlantic Ocean.



Set within an area out outstanding natural beauty it’ a perfect spot for enjoying a local Cornish hand-crafted gin, evening glass of wine or summer BBQ at sunset.



The hut includes a sofa seating area, electric effect fireplace and Tv. Although small, the kitchenette provides a small fridge, separate 31 litre 4 star freezer, microwave, toaster, Ninja Max 9.5 ltr air fryer, 5 plate dishwasher and iron/ironing board. Guests have use of their own private en-suite bathroom with shower, basin, hairdryer, and WC.



Tintagel is famous for its connections to the legendary King Arthur with Tintagel Castle resting atop a cliff and boasting dramatic seaside views. Resting below the castle ruins is also Merlin's Cave, another historic attraction well-worth the visit. Further afield is the popular award-winning town of Bude with its beaches and ample opportunities for water sports. An excellent base to explore ‘Kernow’, with some of the country’s most beautiful coastlines and beaches on your doorstep!

Everything, beautiful location, easy walk to Tintagel one way and Trebarwith Strand the other. Comfortable stay, small but ideal for a single travellera couple. We'll supplied with snacks, milk and juice. Definitely a place to revisit.

Cozy, Quirky and Perfect

Absolutely loved the crows nest, such an awesome idea and so relaxing to sit in the sun 🌞 Facilities were brilliant, all we needed. We were very happy and comfortable our entire trip. I loved the bathroom, The shower was very nice to use. The bed was very comfortable and the fan above was a life saver with the hot weather we've been having.

Everything you need in a cozy environment and a great location

The location was amazing. We ventured up onto the crows nest in the wind for the great view. The facilities were unbelievable It even included a wine cooler, ironing board and mini dishwasher!

Cute and cosy with a stunning view

Great facilities and really welcoming host. The area is ideal it’s quiet and out of the way but super close to tintagel for the pubs and other amenities. The summerhut was warm and cosy, we had snacks and drinks etc available to us

Very impressed

On initial impression the SummerHut was extremely well equipped, and we were very impressed with the decor of the place. Fantastic value for money and a great location to see the main sites along the coast. Thanks! Honestly nothing :)

A super friendly welcome to excellent accommodation. A perfect location with very easy access to the south west coastal path. We enjoyed the 30min stroll into trebarwith strand and lunch at the pub there.

Beautiful, restful little summer hut with amazing views

The Summer Hut is small but everything in it has been well thought out. Kitchen area is good, fridge/freezer, air fryer, wine fridge, kettle, microwave, iron and ironing board, and there is a small dishwasher. Snacks, juice and milk were also provided which were very welcome. The bed is comfortable, very nice bathroom with lovely easy to use shower. There is a fan on the ceiling over the bed, we had windows open while we were there and didn't need it as there was a lovely breeze. The door from the little living area opens into a little yard with the 'crows nest' a raised area overlooking the fields and sea, this is such a beautiful peaceful area. There is a very narrow spiral staircase to access the crows nest and I would recommend venturing up as it is the most relaxing place to sit and rest. The hut is extremely clean, sofa is comfortable and there are also some games to play. Amazing kettle that heated at different temperatures which was great for my herbal teas. There is a back gate to the path which can head down to the bluff and onto the beachwalk down to Tintagel where there are some small supermarkets and a number of bakeries plus a fair few pubs!

Perfect in every way

Literally on the coastal path with fantastic walks both ways. Tintagel is a lovely little town with a useful Spar and lots of coffee shops and breakfast cafes. The accommodation is small but also very comfortable and fully-equipped.

This beautiful cosy little place was perfect for visiting the local surroundings.

It was as described and more.... so many handy extras including a little dishwasher, fridge/freezer, air fryer, ironing board plus lots more. Nigel was very friendly and welcoming and we would definatly stay again.

Perfect for what I wanted.

The location was amazing, out of the hussle and bussle of Tintagel, an amazingly quiet spot with fabulous views from the crows nest over to the sea. The bathroom tap broke but it didn’t hinder mt stay, all of the facilities were amazing for such a small space, lots packed in, very quirky and comfortable.

Here's a 5-star review for Summer Hut

Absolutely wonderful stay at Summer Hut! Nigel was an exceptional host - so warm and welcoming, and he was kind enough to provide milk, juice, and a variety of snacks upon my arrival. The Summer Hut had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay - fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, and even an air fryer! The amenities were top-notch, and the location was perfect. I couldn't recommend Summer Hut (or Nigel's hosting skills) highly enough! Can't wait to come back
