A large, authentic character-filled apartment in the heart of Porto. The location, size and overall cleanliness make it a great choice, and small touches I decor and kitchenware show real care. Guests should be aware of some wear-and-tear and weekend noise, but we’d happily return here-even for a long-term stay.What we loved:- Excellent central location; everything Porto within short walk. - Very spacious with 2 full beds & baths, plenty of closet space. - Upper suite has its own AC, helpful since it’s warmer. - Balcony doors open to lovely city view. Room to stand for the most part only.- New, roomy, responsive elevator. - The building’ s wooden staircase is gorgeous. - Kitchen well-appointed & large fridge for cooking at home. - Futon available for kids near lower bedroom- Lower room has 2 twins setup as king. - No odors, overall cleanliness excellent despite some mildew in showers. - Small touches in decor and amenities made it feel cared for. - Good privacy between both bedroomsHeads up to future guests:- Listing photos are dated- exterior & balcony floorboards show wear & deterioration.- noise can carry late on weekends if windows are open; shutters and double windows block most sound if kept closed.-Mattresses in the lower bedroom are less comfortable than the upper suite. - Narrower stairs to upper bedroom/primary suite
