My sister and I took my mom here for her birthday . It was just what we wanted . Peaceful with beautiful views . Charleston doesnt have too much activity but a short ride brings you to the town of westerly which is charming . There are so many nature preserves and bird watching areas which we enjoyed . Teenagers might find it a little boring but younger and older will love it .

Graduation Weekend

We stayed here so we could attend a graduation. Location was great and house was even better than online pictures. The outside area is the best feature and we really enjoyed sitting under the gazebo and watching the sunsets.

I brought pots, pans, dishes, blankets and pillows from home. When we arrived, I realized that I did not need to as everything was very clean (almost like new). You can not beat the location. We all enjoyed our stay including my 2 year old grandson who loved playing kick ball in the huge yard. The weather could have been better..fishing at West Beach was great for my husband and 13 year old grandson. Loved it… would definitely rent again.

Family Beach Week

Since my children are all adults, the past three years I book a beach house as their Christmas gift. We could not have been more pleased with the cottage and its location. My boys and grandsons love to fish and boat, this was a perfect location to keep everyone happy. I am originally from Rhode Island and typically would beach in Narragansett. I was impressed with how much Charleston has grown and the convenience of the location. Years ago, that wasn’t the case. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return next summer😊😊😊 5 stars for sure!!! Beth

Priceless

This was a week to just hang out and have fun with my adult children and grandkids. It was amazing!! Young families lives are so busy, there never seems to be enough time to just hang out together. We spent our time between the beautiful beaches and the great small coastal towns, parks and great dining spots. We ended almost every evening sitting around the campfire. Just amazing!!! The house was great with four adults and 2 preschoolers, we had more than enough room. I packed way too much. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable.

Very basic house but lovely setting

Overall our group was disappointed with the quality of the beds and the lack of basic house supplies. Per the house listing, we brought all of the necessary bath towels, beach towels and bedsheets, but arrived to find no bathmat, no hand towels, and insufficient toilet paper for our 2-night stay. The beds were also unsupportive and uncomfortable. Separately, we were not warned ahead of time that a repair crew would be fixing the back doors in the living room when we arrived, which left strong off-gassing/chemical odors in the main living space for the rest of the day. This was particularly unpleasant for the two people staying on the sofa bed in that room. We understand the repair was delayed, but a heads up that a few people would be working in the house for the first 2 hours of our short stay would have been appreciated. It's a very beautiful setting by the water, but we wouldn't choose to return.

Highly recommend staying in this home. The views from the backyard are peaceful and tranquil. Many things to keep busy visiting the trolls and the umbrella factory.

Girls trip of a lifetime

The sweet little beach house is in a gorgeous, quiet neighborhood. There’s a farm store a half a mile away as well as the absolute best coffee shop/bakery less than a mile away. The property manager was amazing and very responsive with our questions. I can’t wait to go back next year.

Lovely property convenient to everything. Cannot beat the connection to nature. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful view. Spent many hours enjoying egrets, a heron, and a wide variety of other birds under a pergola in the backyard.

Weekend by the Sea

We had a lovely weekend in Charlestown. Visited East Beach and The Breachway Beach. Both wonderful. The house had terrific view of bay and outdoor shower for our sandy feet! Highly recommend fir small group of six !!

Quonnie Cottage

This is a charming, comfortable cottage with direct access to salt pond waterfront. We enjoyed kayaking and quahogging and the grandchildren had fun crabbing. Definitely bring water shoes! The beach pass allowed us to enjoy the BIG surf at Blue Shutters Beach. A 5 minute drive away is a terrific farm stand/sandwich shop/bakery. Very convenient.

We vacationed here for 20 yrs. before our dream came true of owning a place directly on the Quonnie Pond. We called it our giant aquarium when our daughter was young. We love boating, swimming,clam bakes, beach combing, fishing & playing on/in the water. The scenic sunsets, moonlight & wide open sky are picturesque not to mention the ever changing water views are unsurpassed! This area boasts unique pristine & private beaches,water activities,events,shopping,tall ships, Fairs art & Agricultural. Lots of fun & variety. It's a great vacation spot in paradise!We just love it here!We encourage you to experience it too!

Location, Location, Location! There isn't a better place to vacation than Quonnie Salt Pond! The water views & sunsets are gorgeous here. Lots to do, minutes to everything, a giant aquarium playground.

This is a Fantastic boating & watersports area. Access to many beaches, fishing, clamming, Block Island (20 mins) many other places by your own boat. The best variety of pristine sandy beaches & conservation wildlife areas anywhere!!

Go for leisurely walks; read a book surrounded by serenity & beauty and breathe in the fresh salt air. It's a jewel of area! Don't forget to bring your camera, plenty of suntan lotion & beach gear!

Many events throughout the summer, close to Seafood festival and Rhythm and Roots, Kayaking, Birdwatching area. Ospreys have nest within view. They return every year faithfully. Herons, sandpipers and many other species. Fishing and clam right off the back yard or launch your small boat.
