Great location, easy check-in/out. Beach chairs were a plus. House is very nice, spacious, and comfortable. Bedrooms had good closet space. Beds could have been a little more comfortable but not all that bad. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Martha.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is perfect, check in was easy and property was clean. Accommodations were comfortable and as advertised. Martha’s Vineyard is a special place for my family and enjoy visiting every year.

Katama is our Happy Place!

We have been coming to MV for 30 years and it never disappoints. This rental is clean with plenty of space and amenities. Centrally located for great walks around Katama.Coffee at the airport and continue through the farm to south beach. Perfect way to start the day. Fairly quick walk to Edgartown center and a visit to the llamas. Perfection!

Recent stay

The owner was responsive to several items we flagged like broken sliding screen door, clogged sinks, etc. With some TLC I’d rate it better. It’s a good location between Edgartown and South Beach. We enjoyed having the bike trail across the street. The house is landscaped so there is privacy from the street. We were there after Labor Day so road traffic and noise was manageable. .

Location, location, location!

The place was accurately described, clean and location wonderful. We spent time walking and bike riding to and from Edgartown and Katama Beach. Very relaxing living area for seating of 5 of us. Ate in twice using grill. We love MV and would stay again.

Katama House

The house is in a fantastic location in Katama, centrally between downtown Edgartown and South Beach. Very easy to get anywhere and great for running and biking with trails right there. The house is as advertised in the pictures. The AC was a little finicky at times, but it never got too hot. Thanks!

Wonderful place to stay

Loved everything about staying here. The bedrooms are located on the 1st floor and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with anything we needed. The living room area was actually bigger than I expected based on the pictures. Very comfortable, would highly recommend staying here!

Lovely house. Clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed the upside down layout. Fabulous location - easy to get to the beach, Edgartown. Access to bike path is so great. Owner is responsive and easy to work with.

Miss the Saltbox already!

Great first time visit to MV! The house had everything we needed & a great location especially if you have a car or bike. Just my friend & me & both Queen beds were very comfortable. We couldn't figure out how to get any channels on the TV except the basic ones but that is on us-we are not tech savvy. Zero complaints-I will say at 6' 0" I found the toilets to be very low to the ground but certainly not a deal breaker. Lovely new deck too!

Location is everything!

We went with this listing primarily for the affordability for its location. A bike ride or walk to South Beach one way and to Edgartown Center the other way. Was very convenient for my young adult children to do their own thing when they chose to. Now, there are FAR more pricier properties in this area, but if you don't need all the bells and whistles of a pristine multi-million $ property, then this is your house! We needed a place to sleep and shower to hit the beach by day and the center by night. Worked out great for us for the cost. The owner is very responsive and super easy to work with!

Wonderful Stay on the Vineyard!

It was perfect. Comfortable, clean home. Everything was just as stated on line. Minor issue that owner took care of immediately. Information and instructions left for us were very easy to follow. Hope to stay at this home again during our annual visit to the Vineyard. Thank you!

Best location on MV!

We had a wonderful stay at Michael’s house! We have stayed in a few different rentals on MV, but hands down loved this Katama location best! We ran/walked/biked into Edgartown every single morning, which was a little over a mile. The house was also a short bike ride to South Beach, and a slightly longer bike ride to State beach. We even rode our bikes to Noman’s a couple of times! Having the Katama General Store so close was an added bonus! The top floor of this upside down house was light, bright, and airy. A nice big great room with Kitchen/dining/living room. A/C worked great!! Lots of bathrooms (3 plus outside shower) were also a nice plus. Water pressure and temp were great. We never ran out of hot water. And Michael was a great host who even checked in with us after we arrived! I would stay at this home anytime! Cheers! KJ

Buggy and broken

Too many bugs. Windows not properly sealed off when air is on. Only one electric burner worked on the stove, no glasses in the kitchen, beds were uncomfortable, air conditioning units in family room were so loud, you couldn’t hear the TV, shower head in downstairs bathroom didn’t function, refrigerator door didn’t close until you pushed it, front screen door didn’t close all the way unless pulled shut, sliding door from family room out to deck had to be pushed in a certain angle to close properly, no yard, only one lounge chair.

Lovely home with a beachy vibe

Really enjoyed our stay here! We've rented another South Beach property for the last 20 years from a realtor and it wasn't available this time, so we quickly pivoted to VRBO and found Mike's home. Loved the open, beachy feel in the living room/kitchen upstairs, as well as the large deck. The house was exactly as pictured and the contactless check-in was easy. The a/c was a nice bonus. We usually come to MV in late September and our previous rental didn't have it, which is fine. But we came much earlier this trip and it was humid, so we were glad to have a/c (especially for sleeping). We slept much better in this rental since we didn't have windows open with the blinds fluttering in the breeze. With a child, the outdoor heated shower was another bonus coming home from the beach. Nice location on the bike path and very close to Katama General Store. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location and house!

Had an amazing time on the island and this house is in a perfect location. A short walk into town, run to South beach, near the Katama market for great breakfast sandwiches:) Terrific house and Mike is a very responsive and great host.

Great location and home base to explore all of Martha's Vineyard.

Center of Edgartown is 5 minute bike ride. South Beach is a short ride down the bike path which is across the street. Our host was super responsive to all our needs.
