In the heart of Rome, Domus Otto is a recently renovated apartment located 450 meters from the Vatican Museums and 150 meters from the Ottaviano metro station.
The spacious apartment has 3 bedrooms, 2 smart TVs, a fully equipped kitchenette and 2 bathrooms with a shower. Towels and bed linen are provided in the apartment. WiFi and air conditioning available in all rooms.
The property is located on the 5th floor, but the elevator (max 1 person) only goes up to the 4th (therefore a flight of 20 steps)

The apartment was nice, clean and great location. Near the Ottaviano metro station. Not too far from the Vatican. Lots of shops, restaurants and grocery stores. All the stairs were slightly challenging for me as I'm about to turn 73. Altogether a great place to stay in Rome.

perfect location

The location was perfect to allow us to get around the city. We were also able to enjoy local restaurants, not the tourist ones, but restaurants that the locals frequent. The apartment was perfect for our family of 6, 2 teenagers and 4 adults.

Family Vacation

This apartment did not disappoint. Spacious and clean for our party of 6. Very convenient neighborhood to activities and food. Safe for the teens to roam around. I would do it again!

After many Italy trips over 27-ish years with several extended stays in Rome, this Via Ottaviano 66 apartment is extremely convenient to Saint Peter's as well as the Metro. However, it has many shortfalls which need attention. A couple of very significant items include mold and mildew in the showers along with stained and broken grout in the kitchen. Add in other items - broken door handles, damaged coffee machine water tank, elevator safety lock issue for the first couple of days, roaring air conditioner, more than one shower at a time exceeds pressure and hot water supply, foam pad mattresses and pillows, dog droppings to avoid several days in the courtyard, one set of towels each for the week - left us avoiding the apartment as much as possible. Neighborhood restaurants do abound; it was generally quiet by 11pm each eve until the 7-8am daily community collection point trash truck arrived. Regarding the Host, he is friendly and responsive (but many of the problems would take much longer than a week to repair as well as have created unacceptable further impact to our vacation plans). Again, the apartment is convenient to Saint Peter's.

Hi Charles, We are glad you appreciated the apartment's location, though we are very sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. Unfortunately, the apartment is starting to show its age; the tile grout is indeed worn in both the kitchen and the bathroom. However, I would like to emphasize that this is neither dirt nor mold—it is simply old. We have replaced the coffee machine's water tank. We also replaced all three air conditioning units; they now work perfectly and run quietly. The mattresses and pillows are soft, though not made of foam. Comfort is a matter of personal preference; some guests have described them as the most comfortable ever. We will soon be carrying out a major renovation of the bathrooms and kitchen. We look forward to welcoming you back soon so you can see the changes and fully enjoy the apartment.

Wonderful Stay

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Domus Otto! Lorenzo was an amazing host. He was very communicative, and even arranged transport for us (family of 6) from the airport to the apartment on the day we arrived and from the apartment to the train station on the day we left. The beds were all very comfortable. The apartment was very clean. The location of the apartment in Prati was great. We felt very safe and had several good restaurants and shops nearby. The size of the apartment was perfect for us and our four children, ages 22 to 14. We would definitely stay here again!

Graduation trip

We spent 2 weeks in Italy and started here in Rome. The Domos Otto was perfect for our group of 5 adults! We cannot say enough great things about our host, Lorenzo, who helped us arrange transportation from the airport and to the train station. This is a wonderful location, where it’s easy to access the metro, Vatican, and shops and restaurants. The check in and check process was easy, the apartment is clean and safe, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you! Regardless if you want time at the Vatican or the historical area, everything in Rome is easy to get to from this location. Wonderful!
