Hi Stephanie, Thanks for the 5 stars review. Very happy to hear you guys enjoyed your stay. Yes the distance between the building and the beach is not bad at all. A very short pleasant 2 minutes steps on the boardwalk. Being a beachside unit within a beachfront resort is a big plus, there are no streets to cross, and it’s very safe for children and elderly, a family favorite. The views from the unit are outstanding anywhere you look. The location is surely a huge plus being so close to everything and not having to fight traffic to pickup something from the grocery store or going to great restaurants and shopping. Some guests don’t even rent a car it’s so close. We’ve very fortunate to have a beachfront and a beachside unit in the resort. Destin is truly stunning. We enjoyed taking good care of you guys. Thanks for your review. Just last Winter we had a designer to remodel our two units, she did a fabulous job, looks beautiful and guests are loving it. She works for Lovelace interior, I can give you her credential if you wish to give her a review as well. I’m not fond of those super modern places., they are all looking the same. But we did put in new modern gray white granite slabs, with light pebble stone and glass backsplash. We painted the walls in SW alabaster, a light gray color. We removed the popcorn ceiling to a super smooth white surface, put in new lights, kitchen and bath fixtures. We replaced our old washer and drier with a top of the line Samsung stackable. Two years ago we purchased stainless steel kitchen appliances and repainted cabinet. Our sofa is a year old and it’s gray with blue pillows. We purchased modern artwork from local artists, I even painted one. In the kitchen we picked a nice Hispanic style table and floor to give it a little Caribbean personality. Bedrooms sets are white and gray wood with white covers and linen decorative pillows. We got three 55 inch new TVs, modern live wood coffee table. I’m really not sure what else to remodel in this 1100 sq ft space. I’m an artist and I like to keep things a little different. I’m very sorry it wasn’t to you taste.
