During our stay, lots of little things were wrong/off which if one had happened, no biggie, but they piled up to induce some frustration. Upon arrival, we noticed a hole in the wooden floors outside two bedrooms, then the serious cracks in the bathroom tile in the bathroom (cracked enough they were lifting in shards). The home looked little like the photos (save the couch, table, and beds) as decor, paint colors, and other furniture were all different. Additionally, one faucet handle was broken, porch light burned out, and 3 other lights were out. Upon contacting the owner, she said she was sorry, highlighted the attractions nearby, and said she would let her handyman know about the broken things- that's it. On the bright side, the beds were very comfortable and the space was great- lots of room to spread out as a family of four. Also the home was clean, but could use some deep cleaning. Also, the instructions in the welcome book are largely inaccurate on where to find things.
If you are not from a big city, like New York or the like, then the exterior may catch you off guard like us. It looked super sketchy and felt unsafe. While inside we felt mostly safe, the walls are VERY THIN and you will hear EVERYTHING happening outside- every foul argument, siren, construction, honk...not to mention you will also hear the neighbors every movement, including when their smoke alarm batteries beep for 4 days straight. I wish I had known this all before booking.
