Sarah and Adam would love to welcome you to Grange Barn.
Nestled on the edge of the Exmoor National Park the Grange Barn is a lovingly created barn conversion completed early 2024. Beautifully finished and furnished to a high standard in a peaceful location away from the crowds but is perfectly placed as a base to enjoy all of the amazing locations North Devon has to offer – With blackout curtains, secure surfboard and bike storage , a luxury patio and sunken fire-pit , a luxury kitchen , a walk-in spa like shower and a roll top bath , The Grange Barn is the perfect place to wind down and relax .

From The Grange Barn you can explore the moors ,woodlands, rivers and coastline, valleys and peaks of Exmoor National park ,to the beautiful and renowned surfing beaches of Woolacombe , Putsborough , Croyde and Saunton Sands all spectacular. For cyclists it is a great base to explore the trails and roads of the Exmoor.The historic towns of Lynton and Lynmouth are only a short drive. There are many national trust locations such as Arlington court and Heddons mouth close by. The exmoor village of simonsbath is only a short drive where you can access beautiful walks along the river Barle .

Exmoor is a walkers' paradise with many miles of waymarked paths and peaks , including Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor, with outstanding views over 7 counties. Exmoor is also renowned for fantastic fishing , riding and has the largest herd of wild red deer in England and Exmoor’s unique wild ponies roam the moors , as they have done since the time of the Domesday Book. When night falls make the most of Exmoor's Dark Skies and enjoy a spot of stargazing. In 2011 Exmoor National Park was designated an International Dark Sky Reserve, the first place in Europe to achieve this prestigious award and only the second in the world.

Guided walks with a National Park Ranger take place throughout the summer.

For bike riding enthusiasts on or off road there are miles of country roads and trails through beautiful countryside.

Beautiful countryside property

The quality of the interior and all the furniture and fittings were excellent. The outside space was also beautiful a fabulous place to relax. We had a wonderful stay and would like to return.

We had a fabulous time staying at The Grange, which was truly a little haven. The cottage is stunning and has been designed meticulously by Sarah and Adam, so that everything about the stay was flawless and luxurious. Such a peaceful setting and a great location for days out exploring Exmoor national park and the beaches. Sarah and Adam gave us a lovely welcome and were very responsive when we had a question. Thank you for a wonderful stay away from the hustle and bustle of London - we can’t wait to come back!

Perfect Relaxing Weekend

The property was beautiful inside and out and every detail had clearly been carefully considered. We loved the style of the whole place, particularly the bathroom and the sunken firepit outside. We had such a relaxing, rare child-free weekend. We will definitely be back!

A very comfortable, exceptionally well-planned, well-appointed and well-equipped cottage in a very rural, peaceful location in a dark skies area. A lot of attention to detail and everything top-quality. Friendly hosts occupy neighbouring property so are on hand to answer any questions and popped in to welcome us and bid us a safe homeward journey but were otherwise unseen: the cottage is quite private. There is no microwave (which would have been handy but not essential). There is a range of country pubs, inns and restaurants, the nearest being about six miles away. Accessing them involves driving along narrow, windy country lanes with tall hedges: drivers need to look out for potholes as well as be prepared for vehicles (including tractors and other farm and delivery vehicles). The accommodation is well-placed for walking in the Exmoor National Park, the South West Coast Path and visiting National Trust and RHS attractions.

Four day get away

The property was outstanding, truthfully if there was a 6 star it would definitely have it. Everything was of exceptional, of the highest quality and we wanted for nothing. The outside area’s were also outstanding and carefully laid out to accommodate all the needs of the persons staying. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are hoping to visit again later in the year.

delightful and relaxing property

It was a pleasure to meet Sarah and Adam, they were excellent hosts, if we needed anything they were on hand, and gave us knowledgeable advice on local places to visit, which we did, a lovely welcome basket was waiting for us on our arrival. The property is beautifully presented in every detail, lots of thought given to what the guest would need to make their holiday experience a real pleasure, the secluded garden offers different seating areas to enjoy the sun or shade if wanted, super quiet area to relax and read or watch the little birds flitting about, the area has dark sky status so offers the best way to see the stars at night. Thank you Adam and Sarah for a super stay

Lovely 3 Night Stay

My partner and I stayed at this beautiful holiday home for my birthday, and it was everything we could have hoped for. The moment we walked in, we felt right at home—cosy, beautifully decorated, with a stunning design and aesthetic that we instantly fell in love with. There was even birthday bunting along with a birthday card and a welcome basket waiting for us which was such a thoughtful touch!. Adam and Sarah, the wonderful owners, and their family, made everything easy, so easy that we didn’t have to reach out for a thing, except when I managed to forget my wallet after checkout. They were so kind and helped right away (Thanks Isabella!). The location was perfect too—peaceful, yet close to beaches, charming villages, and Exmoor National Park. We had such a fantastic time and can’t wait to come back!

A wonderful place, the garden is beautiful and the accommodation is absolutely fantastic. Everything is very clean and new and of the highest quality. Sarah and Adam are very friendly and helpful.

We have lived in North Devon since the early 2000’s and love walking , surfing ,cycling and local produce. We moved here to give our 3 children an outdoor active upbringing . We love the area and love sharing what we know with our guests and hope they enjoy it as much as we do .

We chose our location due to the peacefulness of a rural location , but also it gives us good access to all of what North Devon and Exeter have to offer. One day you can visit the beach, the next day, go for a walk on a Exmoor.

We finished converting the barn mid-way through 2024. We converted with a mindset of , what would we like if we were staying there. We have added character and luxury in a style that we love and hope our guests do too. Our location is very quiet and peaceful, but only a short drive to many different locations and amenities.
