Oh they went beyond our expectations it felt like home, picked us up from the train station, had us up on their roof top to enjoy a glass of wine and even took us on a Tuscany wine tour.

It is a 4 floor walk up, as someone reminded us, “there are no elevators, anywhere in old Sienna!” But our kind host hauled our suitcase up the stairway. Sienna is so beautiful and a great walk around city. The shops are fun and do tend to stay open in the afternoon for tourists. There is no AC and it was Hot! Windows need to stay open for cooling at night and the streets stay active most hours. Delivery trucks and trash pick ups start early So bring big your ear plugs. Sienna definitely is a highlight and there isn’t a much better location!

An amazing stay!

We had the best time during our short stay in Siena. Our hosts were great! Picked us up from the train station, answered all of our questions, gave us good recommendations for dinner, made sure we were comfortable in our stay & even drove us to pick up our rental car! We couldn't have asked for more. Not to mention the location was ideal also! Would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!

Wonderful apartment with amazing hosts!

We loved the large, comfortable, clean apartment in a great location in Siena, only a few minutes walk from Il Campo, as well as the bus station. Marco was kind enough to transport us to and from the train. He and Simonetta were very welcoming. We almost felt like we could live like locals in the neighborhood.We would love to stay there again and highly recommend it to others. Grazie Mille, Simonetta and Marco!

We loved our stay in Siena. The apartment was very comfortable. Sima & Marco were fantastic hosts. I highly recommend staying in this lovely apartment in old Siena. Beautiful!

peaceful, lovely and above all, excellent hosts

Located in old town, right near the lovely lovely shops and main piazza of town. 500 year old apartment that is lovingly and sympathetically updated. Fully equipped, perfect for two people. Hosts are out of this world! Marco picked us up/returned us to our train and even hosted us for wine and conversation the night before we left. Highly recommend.

This property is beautiful and Marco and Simonetta are incredible hosts. They even drove us from the train station which was above and beyond. Apartment is accessible to all major sites.

Beautiful Siena!

My husband and I spent an October weekend in this wonderful apartment as we traveled through Italy. It was a highlight! The apartment itself is lovely: a very historic building, with very comfortable and contemporary furnishings mixed in, well equipped for all our needs...and most importantly, hosted by a wonderful family who could not have been more welcoming. We recommend this wholeheartedly and hope we will someday return!

The apartment was beautiful and in a perfect location

Marco and Simonetta were absolutely amazing - they even picked us up at the train station. The only downside was that we stayed only one night and should have stayed at least three. We will be going back.

Warm and friendly hosts and the apartment is a jewel.

Simonetta and Marco were wonderful and the apartment is beautiful and immaculate. Staying in historic Siena was very special - wandering the old narrow streets was like stepping back in time. Apt. is close to all the Cathedrals, palazzos, art, and Campo. We loved hanging out on the Campo! And we loved ending our day at the apartment - it really was home for a few days. Simonetta and Marco.... thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. If i get back to Siena i would definitely stay in your charming apartment. If you are ever in Sacramento, Ca you are welcome in my home. Big hug! Leslie

Perfect location in a fantastic city

Sienna is a stunning city and our stay at Simonetta & Marco's apartment was just what we wanted. They were both such friendly hosts, guiding us to the private parking that is included with the apartment and driving us and our luggage right up to the property door. They made us feel so welcome from the minute we met them. The apartment was spacious and well furnished with everything that you could possibly need for your stay there. The location was great, about a 1-2 minute stroll to the Piazza del Campo, which is right in the heart of the city. We would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous location and wonderful hosts

Our stay in Siena was absolutely wonderful. The apartment was perfect for two couples with a fully equipped kitchen and full sized fridge. The location is about two blocks from the Piaza and all the restaurants. There is also a grocery store close by. The bus station is about a 4 minute walk. Our wonderful hosts Simonetta and Marco were very accommodating, picking us up at the train station upon arrival and dropping us off again, on departure. We even had a lovely evening with them on their roof top deck. Bellisimo!

Our best non-traditional hotel stay--Ever!

Marco and Simmonetta were the best host we've ever had--without question. Booking was seamless and everything in the apartment was perfectly and accurately described in the listing. I just want to point out some exceptional extensions of hospitality while we traveled with Marco and Simmonetta: Marco offered to pick us up at the train station for free and transport us to the apartment for free. Once there, he insisted on carrying our luggage up the stairs for us. On our second night we requested access to the roof top garden (make sure you request prior to your stay). For more than two hours Marco and Simmonetta hosting us over drinks and snacks with pleasant conversation about the recent Palio, life in Siena, our trip so far, our lives in America--everything. They welcomed us as guests in their home and treated us like old friends. We had an early train out of Siena on our final day--and again Marco offered to wake up early and drive us and our bags to the train station for free. If we ever find ourselves in Siena again we will work our dates around Marco and Simonnetta's availability. We hope we have the opportunity to share our home town, drinks, and food with them one day. By any and all measures they are the best hosts we've ever had and we could not recommend them enough.

Central location, incredible hosts!

Marco and Simonetta were the warmest, kindest, most welcoming hosts I've ever experienced during a HomeAway stay. They made our stay in Siena a memorable one! They met us just outside the city and escorted us to their parking space, then loaded our luggage into their car and drove us into the apartment in the city center. They made it easy! The apartment itself is clean, comfortable and perfect for a couple seeking to be close to the city center and the heart of Siena. It was a great home base to explore Chianti, Montalcino, etc during the day, then return to explore Siena at night when the city comes alive with locals and students. But the highlight is definitely the warm welcome provided by Marco and Simonetta. They went above and beyond anything I could have asked for in a host. They answered every question I had, told me history of the city and the region, and shared their passion for Siena's famous Palio races. They even called and scheduled a wine tasting in Chianti for me! I can't praise them enough! I'll definitely stay with them again on my next trip to Siena!

Wonderful hosts and apartment

From our arrival till we left, Marco and Simonetta were great hosts. From meeting us at the bus station, arranging a winery tour and cooking class to dropping us off at the train station, they did their utmost to make our stay enjoyable. The apartment is in a lovely historical building and the stairs (beautiful marble staircase) are well worth the climb. The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures - very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The location is excellent with all the sights within walking distance and restaurants and shops close by. My husband slipped out every morning to pick up yummy pastries at one of the many bakeries around the corner to enjoy with our coffee. Thank you Marco and Simonetta.

Ha sido una grata experiencia conocer Sienna , a parte de sus lugares históricos , vinos y rincones tengo que destacar el lugar / hogar donde nos han hospedado simonneta y marco , un placer haberles conocido en este viaje , agradecidos de haber sido tan exquisitos anfitriones , pena de no haber tenido mas tiempo , para haber compartido mas con ellos , un regalo de nuestro viaje. 100% recomendable en cuanto a la situación, estancias , limpieza , servicios , ayuda de nuestros caseros , todo formidable !
