The house was cute, comfy, and clean. Beautiful view of the lake and the dock was perfect. The only thing I would suggest is hand rails for the stone steps, being a bit older and not as good on our feet we always went around the back of the house and walked through the lawn and avoided the stone steps.

We were five adults seven year old and nine month old baby and it seemed a little small for us – all of the sound downstairs TV whatever goes right upstairs and there are no doors only curtains on the doorways so there was no way of blocking any noise. We brought in a couple of chairs that we had with us to put in the living room because there wasn't enough seating right in the living room however there is this very large table with a lot of seating connected to the living room. The property was exactly as presented beautiful view nice fire pit - be sure to bring your own wood – ideally located on the lake - I think our group was probably just a little too large for the house and we probably felt it a little more because we only had one nice day of weather and all the rest was cloudy and raining so we were kind of stuck inside.Toni was great to deal with she answered any question that I had very quickly and had a lot of patience with my stupid questions too lol.

Thank you so much, Dawn, for the 5-star review! It was a pleasure hosting you and your family, and I’m so glad you enjoyed the beautiful lake views, fire pit, and location. I completely understand how the cottage can feel a little cozy with a larger group and little ones when rainy weather keeps everyone indoors. We only wish Mother Nature had cooperated more so you could have enjoyed the expansive outdoor space and large lakefront deck—they’re such a wonderful part of the property and offer plenty of room for everyone to spread out, gather, and enjoy the lake. And there are never any silly questions! I’m always happy to help, and I truly enjoyed having you as our guests. Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope to welcome you back for a sunnier lake getaway!

Great place for a weekend away. Cottage was clean and well stocked with things you might take for granted. No doors on the bedrooms so keep this in mind if you are looking for privacy. Lake was beautiful. No problems with the neighbors!

Beautiful and Peaceful Stay

The owners obviously take a lot of pride in their lake cottage. The grounds were pristine with great spots for hanging out and watching the water. Cottage was very clean and kitchen was perfectly equipped. We had a small maintenance issue and the owner came and fixed same day. Great property and awesome hosts. Thanks!!

It was very nice. Good location on the lake. GREAT dock and deck. It is dificult to share a driveway. And to have a limit on cars. We had a nice time. Peolple parked at the boat launch and we ferried over to get them. Lots of things to use such as paddle boat, kayaks, grill.

Hi Bonnie, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry parking was an issue for you. We limit the cars to 3 not because of the shared driveway, but because we have a "no party" rule. I understand you had a gathering for the holiday which we talked about beforehand, most people just have guest park on the street. I'm sorry I didn't think to share that with you. Sounds like other than that you enjoyed the cottage and all it offers. We look forward to hosting you again!

Perfect First Time Lake Get Away!

This was our first time using VRBO and renting a cottage on a lake. The cozy cottage was just perfect for our family of 6 adults. The host was very responsive and the cottage was just as described. Kitchen was well stocked and rest of the house was small but well-appointed. The outdoor space perfect for watching sunsets, resting in the hammock or hanging out by the firepit. And Rushford lake is a hidden gem! We will definitely be back next year!

Tiny house

Property location to lake was great & lake very clean & nice. Only shower in house was way too small but we managed. Outside stairs near house wobbly, narrow & slippery when wet. Enjoyed use of kayaks & use of life vests due to lake depth!

Fantastic week @ Rushford Lake!

We just enjoyed a fabulous week at Rushford Lake with some of my adult children and grandchildren. Our cottage was perfect! There was easy access to the lake for swimming and kayaking. It was kid friendly with a sandbox, toys, books and games. The kitchen was tiny but it worked. There was plenty of seating for dining at the huge table with a beautiful view of the lake and outside under the little pavillion. We enjoyed campfires around the firepit. We had a relaxing and very enjoyable time. The owner was very easy to work with and the neighborhood was pretty quiet. I would definitely recommend staying here!!

Very comfortable

The property was nice, comfortable. Definitely a better fit for older group or a group with young children just going to relax. Neighbor you share driveway with was rude, they let the dog come over and poop on the lawn and we had to clean it up. Other neighbor was friendly. Plenty of stuff for children and kitchen supplies. Owner was easy to talk to, just a lot of specific rules to follow.

Hi Steph, I'm so sorry about the neighbors dog. I did send them a message. Is your 3 star review on the property or because of the neighbors? If there was an issue with the house or the property itself I would love to address it. Hope to see you next season!

Relaxing getaway for few days

The cottage at Rushford Lake was a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the peacefulness. Had fun in paddle boat & floating on noodles in the clean lake. Cottage was clean & had all you needed for your stay. Outdoor space was great with covered patio & lots of trees for shade. The best part was fire pit & beautiful view of Lake.

Magic on Lake Rushford

We have just completed a four night stay at this charming cottage. It had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay right on the lake! We were in the area visiting family and while we were there we learned so much about the area and family history. We truly felt a connection with the area and staying at this cottage helped to make the trip pure magic. The host was so helpful and communicated frequently. We will be coming back to the area quite often in the future and we would be very happy to stay here again.

Cozy Little Lake House

We enjoyed our stay in this Rushford Lake house. It was very comfortable for our family of 5. The lake water was clean and my children enjoyed swimming, paddle boating, and kayaking. We had plenty to do on the days we didn’t travel to the amazing state parks in the area, including games, toys, books, movies, a hammock, and yard games. The house would comfortably sleep 10 people, although the small bathroom and shower would have a difficult time accommodating a group that large. Our vacation was relaxing and enjoyable!

Perfect cozy cottage

This cottage really was perfect for our family. Right on the lake, yet plenty of green space for the kids to run around. Lots of little nice touches that really help out. And the central air is a huge plus! But best of all, the owners are super nice and very quick to respond to any of our communications! We will definitely stay here again!
