Idyllic and updated cottage in Manzanita for minimum one month stay.
Perfect for retirees, working remotely at the Coast for a month, building your own dream house, or exploring the possibility of living at the Coast. We are one of a few Manzanita properties set up for 1-3 month stays that also allows a well-behaved dog. We're often booked with repeat guests, but we love to meet new people as well!

Fully furnished 960 sq foot, 2 bedroom, 1 bath one level home located on the best street in Manzanita. Updated throughout and freshly painted inside. Spectacular, quiet neighborhood location just 1.5 blocks from the beach, 2 blocks from the village. All utilities, WIFI, Smart TV for streaming, laundry, linens etc. included. Two parking spots. Outdoor deck is the place to be with comfy sofa, chairs, fire pit, and propane grill. Cats or other pets cannot be accommodated due to allergies. No smoking of any kind in the house or on the property.

Restful Space Close to the Beach

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The space was relaxing and peaceful. I sat on the porch every morning and had my coffee then walked a few blocks to the beach. I explored all the wonderful little towns around Manzanita too. Hosts were lovely and communicative.

Winter on the Beach!

Julie, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful beach house with me for the past 2 months. I absolutely love this cottage. It was comfortable, clean, well stocked and accessorized, and meticulously maintained. The proximity to the beach was wonderful and I managed to be out there nearly every day! I hope to be able to return in the future!!

Love this place

Perfect location, close to restaurants, shops and grocery stores in a very friendly community. Walking distance to everything, including the spectacular coast. Excellent communication from the hosts. The house was so clean and had everything I needed. The beds were even comfortable!! My dogs enjoyed the fully fenced in yard. 10 out of 10 for me! I’ll be staying here again! Thank you so much. ❤️

Fantastic!

This is a beautiful, well decorated cottage less than a 1 minute walk to the beach. I stayed here over the winter and felt comfortable and safe. My little dog loved doing zoomies in the lush yard. I loved shopping in the nearby boutique shops and at the Manzanita Grocery & Deli just a short walk away. Everyone in the neighborhood was friendly and helpful and the hosts are the best I’ve ever experienced through years of vacationing in rental homes. Stay here. You won’t regret it.

Gorgeous Home and Outstanding Location

Wow! This house is just perfect. It is gorgeous, well maintained and well appointed. It is in an excellent location near beach and town. I visit Manzanita several times each year and have stayed in at least 10 rental homes. This house is by far the best I have stayed in. It is a lovely and very comfortable space. The property managers are kind and responsive. The kitchen is well stocked and the owner attention to detail is especially evident here. Help yourself to coffee, tea, cocoa and feel free to use anything you need in the home. There is a generous outdoor seating area. I loved staying here and would highly recommend this house and these property managers.

Piece of Paradise

To say we had a blast is an understatement. This house, town and location were absolutely perfect for my wife and I and our two dogs. The house is exactly as its pictured and VERY clean. I am very picky. In fact, I had shipped via Amazon ahead of our stay, a set of sheets, blankets, etc as ...well I am picky. I absolutely did not need it. Beds are comfortable, sheets and towels were nice. Kitchen stocked. Yard was great for relaxing and our dogs loved it. The walk to the beach is about 3 minutes and the walk to town was about 5 minutes. I recommend cocktails at the Rusty Moose! We had some beautiful hikes very close to the house. Cannon Beach is only 15 minutes away. We were depressed that we had to leave and if it had been available, we attempted to book 2 months next summer. Book this place, ypu wont regret it! Perfect getaway

The house was very clean, comfortable, and felt like home. The owners haven't skimped on anything - mattresses, bedding, kitchen appliances, pots and pans, etc were all very nice. It had everything we needed plus lots of extras. Lots of puzzles and games for those rainy days. The big deck and beautiful yard were perfect for relaxing outside. The yard has something blooming at all times and my little dog loved the fenced in yard. You can hear the ocean from the deck and the beach and main street is 2-3 blocks away and was less than a three minute walk. It's a very quiet and relaxed location and within walking distance of the entire town. I loved my stay here and hope to stay here again next time I visit the coast.

I love Manzanita!

This is my second year spending a month in Manzanita, and I hope to spend as much time on the coast as possible for many years to come. Julie and Patty's home was perfect for me -- the right amount of space and privacy, close to the beach, safe, well-provisioned, and with good energy. Julie provided clear information and details for check-in, check-out, and home essentials during my stay. Manzanita is quiet during the off months, but I loved meeting some neighbors and chatting with people on the beach, at the bookstore, and in town. The entire experience was wonderful and restorative. I hope to return!

Fun in February.

My sister and I are 70 + and had as much fun as two kids at Manzanita staying in the Artist Retreat. It has everything anyone could want. We highly recommend it even if you aren’t 70.

Another awesome month at Artist Cottage

This is our third visit to the Artist Cottage in Manzanita. Our hosts Patti and Julie are terrific and their house is wonderful...cozy with all the right details. The kitchen is well equipped and ready for creative cooking. And our dog was made to feel very welcome with bowls, dog bed and coverings for the human bed so she could join us!

Sweet cottage at the Oregon Coast

The Manzanita cottage is lovely. Lots of light, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, fabulous deck. Owners were welcoming, kind, and responsive. Fenced yard with beautiful plants. Loved it!

A very special place

This cottage is very special. Both the inside and the garden are charming and inviting. Location is excellent: on a quiet street, affording both easy access to the beach and the town. The hosts were attentive and very detail- oriented, which is so helpful. A wonderful beach experience, especially for those looking for a retreat or quiet time to enjoy the many beauties of the Oregon coast.

Patti is an author and keynote speaker while Julie is a retired corporate executive and a now a busy Arizona realtor. Sydney, our athletic terrier, rounds out our adventurous family. When we’re not at the Coast, we’re in the SW either RVing, hiking, and biking.

We had been looking for a retreat getaway and a friend recommended Manzanita. It was love at first sight! We attended an open house for this cute little cottage with the best location and very quickly made an offer and purchased it. Not long after, our cottage was hit by a rare EF-2 tornado, and we found ourselves replacing the roof, the fence, back door, upgrading the floors, fireplace, and laundry. We lost nearly every tree on the property, which meant we had a blank canvas for the yard. We added the shed/artist studio and updated the kitchen in 2017 and 2018, and many more updates in 2022 and 2025.

The cottage is perfect for one, two or four people. It's cozy, light-filled, simple. It's one level, open layout and expansive deck and yard make it the a place everyone feels comfortable. Its location is perfect, with friendly neighbors, and easy access to the beach and the village. We enjoy having people stop by and appreciate the bright splash of orange cottage. There are so many hidden discoveries to make along the Oregon Coast and we invite you to use our cottage as a great jumping off point for boating, fishing, crabbing, shopping, cycling, golfing, horse back riding, paddle boarding, surfing, Pickleball, and sightseeing. There's so much to do!
