Wonderful house and walking distance to the beach! We could hear and see the ocean from the deck. House was very comfortable and kitchen was reasonably stalked with utensils. We will definitely stay here again.

First of all, prior to check in we received notice the Dryer was broken. Second, this house has a major Ant problem. There were numerous traps in the kitchen, but we still saw ants on the kitchen counter. Third, urin odor, perhaps from previous guests with pets. Also a blanket removed from the closet was foul smelling. Fourth, the wifi completely died. We restarted the modum, re-installed the Roku, without success. This caused us to leave a day early! Fifth, daily rental rates. This is EXTREAMLY aggravating. The dsy before our check in the daily rate was 106.00 next weeks, mid-week rates are 118.00-127.00 we were charged 141.23 for Tuesday and Wednsday. I can understsand higher weekend rates. But why the huge variance on mid-week rates. On a positive note, the location was very nice. Kitchen dishes, glasses, flatware, and utensils were nice. Needless to say, this was a disappointing rental that caused us to depart a day early.

Location was amazing, shower curtain was pretty new, and couch/loveseat were very nice, but the good things about the property stopped there. ALL the linens, including pillows, looked like they were picked up at Goodwill. Pillowcases were fraying they were so old. The dryer was pulled out three or so feet with both shredded and intact venting on the floor. The smell in the house was bad, to the point my husband bought a candle to burn. I could go on but you get my point. Unsure how this property could have good ratings unless it was simply based on location. I would not rent this house again.

The only positive thing this place has going for them is the location. There were ants inside that got into our food, cobwebs, spiders, and dead bugs around the baseboards, and because we had to strip the bed we unfortunately saw all the stains all over the mattress that were not from us! Disgusting! We were also told two hours prior to check in that the dryer didn’t work which was a HUGE inconvenience. We chose this location because of the washer and dryer as we are traveling around the country and had planned to do laundry at this location. It also appeared that it had been broken from quite some time so we should have been notified sooner and given the option to cancel. There were ant traps all over the unit so they know they have an ant issue. They need to get an exterminator. There were also rusty utensils in the kitchen utensil drawer. Definitely will never stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in this home - it's all about location! Just steps from the beach and a short walk to the "downtown" area, we loved the convenience of enjoying the best of Manzanita. Some of the reviews talk about the house being in need of updates. Sure, it's not the most modern home, with hotel-quality beds/towels. But it is very well-appointed and was an excellent homebase for the exploring we did up and down the coast. And, again, you cannot beat the accessibility to the ocean! one more thing...after visiting Astoria, Cannon Beach, etc. I'm SO glad we went with Manzanita. It has far fewer tourists and is so quiet and charming, in comparison. Highly recommend this property!

We had a great time, location was PERFECT. Property was exactly as described. Knocked off one star for a 10am checkout. 11am would be 10x better on the last day of vacation.

We had a wonderful time this cottage was perfect for us close to town even closer to the beach.The kitchen was well stocked for cooking utensils dishes and pans.Very clean and communication was excellent.We will be back

The Beach

We have been looking for the perfect fit at Manzanita for awhile. This was just perfect for us and our little dog. We will be booking again!

Quiet and close walk to the stunning Zmanzanita beach

Cozy spot for a couple

Cute little place was just right for me, my partner, and dog. There was enough room for the three of us to spread out when we needed to and it was cozy enough to settle in during an evening rain. The interior is a little dated and highly functional with all you need for a stay a the beach. The WiFi was easy to access and fast. Great location being only steps to the beach and a short walk to downtown Manzanita. We also loved the porch for morning coffee and afternoon relaxing.

Front door handle nearly fell off in my hand, tried to find some tools, none anywhere, had to use a table knife to tighten the screws so we weren't at risk of being unable to open the door. No binder available that would explain things about the house, especially TV operation, and there were dirty dishes in the cupboards. The towels were old and well used, like what you'd use on your dog. The home is in need of some updating and the front yard could be cleaned-up as the majority of the neighborhood is nice. The house is in a good location.

Overall, a nice place.

Kitchen was a bit sparse and we needed help with TV due to no booklet, but management came and fixed TV issue which was appreciated. House is a modest gem with a beach view on the porch and a good wood burning stove. Comfortable and close to beach. We enjoyed our stay.
