House is clean, in a great location, and the kitchen well equipped. Hardwood floors throughout which is great.

The house does not do the listing justice. It's not a terrible vrbo, but I was left a bit disappointed. It really does feel like "grandma's house". The deck is nice, covered and private. A collection of VHS and DVDs are available, that was charming. Does have a Roku as well. The chandelier in the dining has a short in it, flickers a bit when flipping the switch but does not stay on. There was also sand in the two twin beds, that was not cool. When we arrived, the key in the lockbox was incorrect and we had to go back and fourth with the property management to get it dealt with, so we were unable to get into our vrbo for quite a while until someone actually came and had the correct key, this was around 5-6pm.I love manzanita, but I won't stay at this one again.

Close to beach and town, quiet

Great stay, easy walk to town and beach. Loved the back yard and deck. Kitchen was well appointed and had everything for cooking and basic baking.Thank you so much!

Love the house and the location, Well equipped kitchen, No facial tissues nor shower/bath floor mats. It was quite difficult to use streaming set up (had to setup my own ROKU acct and never could get DVD player to function.

A solid meh

Property manager - if you want to adrive early you get charged $. If your check-in is delayed because they’re running behind, no $ refund. Check-in delayed 75 min and we got an “I’m sorry we are busy because of Spring Break.” Nobody answered property mgmt phone. Really poor experience there. Will avoid any properties managed by this company in future. House clean. Beds comfortable. Several blocks from beach. Absolutely no view.

Meredith Lodging

This is a nice home, with a great floor plan for families; and in an ideal location for a stay in Manzanita. There were not the kitchen supplies that we are used to having available; a plug in and bathroom ceiling fan didn't work - but our primary concerns are with Meredith Lodging - they leave tiny soaps, shampoos, dish soaps, and no liquid hand soaps. For the very high fees they charge for "management" of the property - it seems odd that they wouldn't provide adequately for guests. When we had to change our reservation, they attempted to leave the full amount of their fees/charges for a six night stay instead of pro-rating the fees to our actual two night stay. Fortunately VRBO made that right. It is odd that they charge fees that imply a "5 star" experience, but choose not to invest in adequate supplies - or at least inform guests to bring their own dish soap, hand soap, etc.

Manzanita getaway

We had a great stay in the cottage in Manzanita. It’s only a couple of blocks from central Manzanita and close to the beach. We were able to walk everywhere while we were there. There were plenty of places to lounge inside, and it was nice to have two bathrooms for the three of us. The dining table is also large for eating and playing games. We’ll definitely stay there again.

Nice place

Would recommend a visibility strip on step in front of front door because it blends in all the same color and all of us tripped going in and out. Many plug ins didn’t work or stopped working so would recommend checking electrical for safety and replace outlets. Otherwise very nice

Great location

This property is in a great location with just a short walk to the Manzanita shops, restaurants and beach. House was very clean and as described. Its in a quiet neighbourhood so we enjoyed sitting out on the front deck in the sun.

Cute house great location

Lots of outdoor entertaining space. Beds were super comfortable. House is a bit dated and some outlets weren't working, but all in all we had a great time. Walking distance to everything on Laneda including the beach.

Lovely location — a short stroll to the beach!

We loved running on the beach near the home. Our son also enjoyed playing on the piano. Great location a short peaceful stroll to miles of beach for great long runs and sunsets.

Convenient location but house needs some care

Pros: Great location for accessing the beach and local shops, easy check in, and has all the basics you need. Cons: primary room bedding was worn and had numerous holes (and bed was very firm), dishwasher leaked on the floor, using the stove made the house smell like burning chemicals, main area carpet was gross and it isn't clear if they don't regularly vacuum between guests or if the vacuum just doesn't work well, sizeable chunks of animal fur around the dining room floor, and the couch was very uncomfortable and kind of gross. To top it off, the fire extinguisher was expired. House just needs a deep clean, some touch-ups/refreshing, and better routine care/maintenance (its managed by a large property management company) and it would be fantastic!

Nice getaway place

Close to the beach and blocks from main street (Laneda). Not so close you hear the waves crashing on the beach or people in the restaurants on main street. Great kitchen setup. We cooked in a lot and we found everything we needed. Heating was simple and no fuss (unlike some other older-house rentals we've stayed at over the years)

We enjoyed our stay. The home is convenient to restaurants, shops, and the beach. It’s well equipped and comfortable. One suggestion would be for more specific instructions for the TV.

Relaxing Cottage close to everything

We had a relaxing stay. The house was roomy and homey. We needed help raising a blind for more light and management sent someone over to help. It still didn’t function, but hopefully they will replace it soon. We cooked 2 nights, walked to the beach, shopped, played games and celebrated my sister’s birthday. We even had a tea party outside on the back deck!
