Elena apartment is fantastic! We had a great two week stay. The highlight is the private terrace with sunbeds, sofa and outside dinning table and most importantly the private steps leading into the pool. Would highly recommend this apartment, and the owner, Sarah is brilliant!

Great apartment, great location

We've stayed in this apartment before and we love it. The apartment is great, the location is ideal - far enough out of town to be fairly quiet, but within striking distance of the town centre. And the pool is reputed to be the best in Kalkan (believable if you look on Google Earth!)

Perfect villa for relaxing holiday.

directions and instructions were easy to follow and villa simple to find. Stress free check in. Beautiful clean and large apartment with very spacious terrace that gets the sun all day. Plenty of shade with the plants and umbrellas provided. Both bedrooms have beautiful views over the sea via their own balcony’s. Beds very comfortable with plenty of blankets. Access to pool was steps direct from terrace - nice way to cool down from the sun. We were blessed with glorious weather whilst we were there. Area is very hilly so take trainers for walking. Easy going down the hill and will take approx 15mins to walk to the harbour or taxis we booked were 150tl. Plenty of supermarkets to choose from if cooking at villa - we found Macro and A101 best ones for stocking up and are easy to walk to - steep coming back up to apartment but nothing drastic. There are cats that like to visit and are friendly - if you’re not a fan - gently shoo them away and they are respectful of space! As animal lovers we happily had them sit with us on the terrace and fed them whilst we were there - it was cute to wake to see them all waiting patiently by the patio doors for breakfast! There is an info folder under the TV to help with exploring the area - we will definitely be back as we found more and more things we wanted to do but ran out of time! Sarah was a brilliant host and responded to very quickly to any questions we had prior to arrival and whilst we were there.

Lovely Holiday

My husband and I had a fabulous time staying in Sarah’s lovely apartment. The location in Kalkan is perfect, set higher up in the hills for the peace and views, but within a short walk to the town for all the restaurants and bars. There are also lots of other really nice restaurants within a few minutes walk from the apartment, as well as some good supermarkets. Taxis are cheap and readily available if you don’t fancy the walk up the hill. The terrace is gorgeous, with loungers and a sofa. In fact even though there’s loads to do in Kalkan, we spent most of the days relaxing there and swimming in the pool. Sarah is a great host and was very responsive if we needed to ask something. It was our first visit to Turkey and I’m so glad we chose to go here.

Great apartment, great location

Having stayed in a different apartment in the same complex last year, we knew what to expect but the additional outside space at Elena was fantastic and allows you to get more sun for more of the day. Also, the water cooler was a godsend... no more daily trips to the supermarket lugging bottles of water!

Elena apartment

This apartment was amazing and communication with the host outstanding, giving advice on the airport transfer and useful information. Kalkan is a beautiful place to visit and the apartment is ideally situated for a 10-15 minute walk to town. We preferred to get taxi's and these were cheap at approx £2.50. The views are amazing and being able to walk straight into the pool was a definite bonus. Having our own private terrace with sunloungers, beanbags and tables was very much appreciated. Supermarkets are a 5 minute walk away although we preferred to eat out. There are so many restaurants and spoilt for choice for food. We visited some beach clubs and also took a boat trip. Fell in love with Kalkan and would definitely visit again.

Such a wonderful stay. The whole apartment gives you the feel of a super private villa. We especially loved the water cooler so no need to buy bottled water, we’ll stocked kitchen, Netflix for the evenings, the super comfy (and king) bed(s), amazing views, pool access from our large patio with plenty of loungers and a massive outdoor corner sofa. Perfect for lounging the day away with a book. My boys also loved the pool. It’s large so plenty of space to swim and play. The location of the property is perfect. As it’s high up the hill it’s very quiet but it’s near enough to walk down to the town for bars and restaurants as well as very cheap to get a taxi back up the hill if you don’t fancy walking. Sarah was brilliant. She answered all our questions quickly as she is so knowledgeable about the area and arranged our transfer for us too. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your place. We can totally see why you love it so much. We can’t wait to return.

Stay in Kalkan

We had a lovey weeks stay in the apartment. The Villa was very tidy when we arrived and very well equipped. Even at 2am when we arrived, the property managed came to greet us. The Wi_Fi was originally not working but that got sorted immediately and we had no further problems. There were lots of towels available and spare bed linen had we needed it. We also had a TV with access to Netflix. The villa complex was lovely and is incredibly well maintained. The pools and pool area were kept scrupulously clean. The only two small issues for us were that there were a few regular cats that kept making an appearance and may have previously been allowed in the apartment. I am allergic to cat fur and so would have been prepared had I known. In addition the shower pressure was not great for my friend with long hair. For me, I found it just about ok. The only other thing that would have been useful would have been a folder with info as to how to get water for the cooler, how to find things locally, useful info i.e. where to put rubbish etc. Would certainly recommend the Villa and the host and would be very happy to return in the future.

Our very special holiday!

Myself and my husband have been avid returners to Kalkan for many years but it was the first visit for our friend. We chose Elena apartment because it had 2 bedrooms & also 2 bathrooms which was ideal for the 3 of us. I cannot praise the communication with Sarah Bahous highly enough! So much so, we are going back with my sister in October! My friend will definitely be returning too! The apartment was great, amazing views of Kalkan. All I would say is that you need to be fairly fit if you are on foot to walk up the hills. That said, taxi's are incredibly cheap, reliable & arrive promptly. It was so peaceful at Elena, the pool was lovely and as always, everyone is so friendly and helpful. Counting down the weeks until we return now! Thank you Sarah! xx

Relaxing holiday in Kalkan

Our family of 4 spent 10 gorgeous days at Nikki's lovely apartment which was sparkling clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Slept better on the excellent mattress than I have in ages! The pool at Elvina is amazing and it's great to have your own private terrace with access to it. The complex was quiet with mainly Turkish tourists, although I expect this was due to Covid rather than being the norm in August. The terrace has a comfortable outside sofa and 4 very comfortable loungers and is a lovely place to spend the day lazing around and enjoying the amazing view. It was very hot in August so lots of time was spent in and out of the amazing pool. We mostly ate out but the kitchen was well equipped if we had wanted to cook, and Cafe Vita down the road also does great takeaways and also delivers food. The welcome pack on arrival was great as was the large quantity of cold water available with a water cooler in the kitchen. Although the walk down to the town takes around 15/20 minutes, a taxi back up is very cheap, we never once walked back up as it was just too hot! There are also some great restaurants within 5 minutes walk as well as the gorgeous spa at the Elixir Hotel. All in all a lovely break and we would definitely return!

We have had a fabulous holiday; would and will highly recommend the apartment.

We have had a fabulous stay. The apartment was spacious and incredibly well equipped. Having private, safe terrace space was invaluable with a perfect mix of shade and sun spots. The block was well kept and we had the shared pool to ourselves most of the time. A huge thank you to Nicola and her team for providing a lovely space to relax and enjoy Kalkan. We will definitely be returning. 💛💫💛💫💛

Peaceful and relaxing

Comfortable spacious apartment with stunning views. Lovely outside space and easy access to the fabulous pool. Challenging hills but worth the effort for the quieter location and taxis readily available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The perfect place for relaxation

My husband and I spent a week in apartment Elena in September and had a wonderful, relaxing stay . Like previous posts have said, the majority of the time we had the whole pool and communal area all to ourselves making it feel very private and exclusive. The main bed was super comfy and we always had hot water for a shower. Yes the plumbing isn’t great and you have to put toilet paper in the bin rather than flush, but we’re used to doing this in Greece so no big problem (however you have to provide your own bags for the toilet bins). The location was perfect for us in that there are a great selection of good restaurants, a couple of supermarkets and a brilliant spa at the Elixir hotel all within 5 minutes downhill walk ( though a lot tougher walking back up). Walk into the start of town takes about 15 minutes and taxi back to apartment is 20lira. Local CanCan supermarket will Deliver to the apartment for free any shopping. The location was also very quiet at night, though we had a regular visitor in the form of a friendly and beautiful ginger cat who we named Harvey. We would frequently return to the apartment to find him waiting to greet us on the terrace for a stroke. Other than that, very little traffic. If I return to Kalkan I would definitely stay at the Ekena

What a super property. Great layout and location with a wonderful view. We were well looked after by Nikki’s representative Suleyman who recommend and arranged 2 days out which were both highlights of our holiday.

Elena Apartment

Just returned from a lovely stay in beautiful Kalkan. The apartment is well situated in the town with lovely views and easy access to the town centre. The apartment was well presented and spacious. We had just a couple of minor issues that were sorted out very quickly. Something just to bare in mind if you are a party of sun worshipers, if there were 6 of you staying at the apartment there would not be an adequate provision of sun loungers, for example there were only 2 provided for private use of the apartment with the rest having to use the communal ones. There weren’t very many of these and some had no cushions (not the apartment owners fault) . There were 5 in our party and because the 2 apartments next to us were full this sometimes meant there were none available. The apartment owner from booking to leaving was very easy to deal with and provided any assistance/bookings we required with our stay.

Wonderful Holiday

We had the most fantastic 2 weeks in Elena. It was the perfect place to totally relax and chill out on the lovely sun terrace then swim in the absolutely huge beautiful pool. It was a brilliant apartment for a family of four with plenty of space and was very well equipped. Suleyman was very helpful too. Kalkan itself is a very special place with lovely friendly people, amazing restaurants and interesting shops. We loved Captain Ali’s boat trip and going to the local market. We will definitely be returning for another lovely holiday.

Our names are Sarah & Tom. We first went on holiday to Kalkan to look at wedding venues (recommended by my MIL who had been there many times over the last 15 years). We fell in love as soon as we saw it & were hooked instantly. So much so that we decided to get married in Kalkan the following year & decided to buy an apartment the year after, we haven't looked back. On 20th September 2019 we were married in Kalkan and had a wonderful week with family & friends. Our son who was 5 at the time loved it as did 55 of our family and friends who have since travelled with us to Kalkan numerous times and loved every minute of it. Kalkan is a home away from home for us and I don't think we will ever get tired of going there.

We love our apartment because it has a great private sun terrace with sunshine all day long and private access into the swimming pool for when you need to cool off. We love open plan living and al fresco dining at home, but also being within walking distance from Kalkan for when we want to dine out or go shopping.
