There is a small porch at the rear of the Annexe which is sheltered and a good spot for leaving muddy boots and brollies. The entrance door opens into the hall; it's level access with just one step over the threshold into the property. The kitchen/dining room, lounge, bedroom and shower room are all off the hall. The lounge is spacious with large windows to enjoy the surrounding views, and patio doors opening at the front of the property (again one step over the threshold). There's three sofas so plenty of room for relaxing; one of the sofas converts into a double bed if required (£5 per night payable for use of the sofa bed, to include linen). The shower room comprises a spacious cubicle with just one step into it, plus toilet and hand basin. The bedroom is at the far end of the hall, with king-sized bed, comfortable chair plus plenty of drawers and hanging space.

Indoor Description
The kitchen is well equipped with electric double oven and hob, under-counter fridge with a small freezer compartment and washing machine. Other kitchen items include microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, a variety of cookware, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses. Two tea towels will be provided.

The TV has freeview and wifi is available throughout the property. An iron and ironing board are provided for your convenience.

There is plenty of room in the bedroom for a travel cot (not provided).

Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The annexe has central heating.

Bed linen, duvets, and towels are provided for your convenience for the main bedroom. If you wish to utilise the sofa-bed, there is £5 per night payable for extra linen, etc. Please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.

There may be non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available.

Outdoor Description
There is a level patio area directly outside the property, complete with garden furniture.

The owners live in the main house next door, so would be on hand if you have any questions. The property is surrounded by fields and backs onto the hills.

The property is accessed via a private lane directly off the A39, the lane becomes steep and narrow in places so it's advisable to drive slowly and in first gear, being vigilant - as wildlife can appear out of the blue!

Up to 2 well behaved dogs welcome. There is no additional charge for pets.
Pets are not permitted on the beds or furniture. Dog crates can be made available for use in the annexe if required.

The region

Minehead is the largest town on the edge of Exmoor National Park, a welcoming seaside resort on the Somerset coast with stunning views across the Bristol Channel to Wales.

The town is best known as the starting point of the South West Coast Path, England's longest National Trail, which stretches 630 miles from the harbour here all the way to Poole Harbour in Dorset. A sculpture marking Mile Zero stands on the seafront near the old harbour. Minehead has been a working port since the 14th century, and the quay area retains much of its historic charm with narrow lanes and fishermen's cottages clustered at the foot of North Hill.

Higher Town, the oldest part of Minehead, sits on the slopes above the harbour and is home to the medieval Church of St Michael, reached by a steep footpath known as Church Steps that winds between thatched cottages with far-reaching views over the rooftops and out to sea. The Parade and The Avenue form the main shopping streets, where you will find independent shops, cafes, restaurants, and takeaways alongside everyday services. Tesco and Morrisons supermarkets are both on the outskirts of town with long opening hours, and there are banks, a Post Office, pharmacies, and petrol stations.

Blenheim Gardens, opened in 1925, provides six acres of green space in the centre of town with a bandstand, putting green, bowling green, and a pleasant cafe. The medieval village of Dunster, with its castle, yarn market, and tea rooms, is barely two miles away. Every May, Minehead's ancient Hobby Horse tradition brings colour and music to the streets -- a centuries-old celebration of the arrival of spring that is unique to this part of Somerset.
