In the heart of the ancient town of Martano, this boutique apartment with aircois a charming apartment that comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests. The ground-floor apartment is a stylish combination of traditional architecture and antiques with modern touches. It makes an ideal base for family or friends who want to explore the glorious Salento Peninsula.

The apartment has two spacious bedrooms which are both furnished with sofas and flat-screen TV’s so can be used as living spaces for relaxation. One bedroom also has a small dining table for casual snacks. The kitchen-diner is an attractive combination of open stone walls and modern units. It is fully equipped with an induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and coffee (Dolcegusto) machine. There is also a dining table for memorable meals and a door leading directly into the garden.

Outside, guests can enjoy a private garden, perfect for unwinding in the quiet surroundings. There is also an outside dining area equipped with a table and chairs, ideal for al fresco meals.

Bedroom 1: The master bedroom includes a comfortable double bed, a double sofa bed, a wardrobe, and an en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 2: The second bedroom comes with twin joinable beds, a dining table, a wardrobe and its own en suite bathroom.

The apartment has 2 bathrooms. Both are en suite and appointed with a shower, basin, bidet and WC.

Location
The lovely town of Martano has retained its medieval walls and historic buildings. It is fascinating to wander through the streets and soak up the atmosphere. You can also try the local cuisine, fine local wines and some of the best olive oil in Italy at one of the many excellent restaurants in the town. For self-catering the weekly market (Tuesday morning) is the best place to pick up the freshest local ingredients. Alternatively, there is a grocery store just 3 minutes from the apartment.

The historic port town of Otranto (15 minutes), with its castle, lively harbour and stunning beach makes a great day out.

Not to be missed is the city of Lecce, the “Florence of the South” (25 minutes). The city is famous for its magnificent Baroque architecture and Roman treasures.

Martano is ideally placed for visitors to explore other, smaller gems in Salento including Galatina, Melpignano, Sternatia and Calimera.

The closest airport is at Brindisi - just an hour away by car.
