We had such a lovely stay at Burn Cottage, wish we'd had longer. Don't think we've ever stayed in such a peaceful place, even the birds were quiet! The provisions left and little extras like spare toothbrushes was very thoughtful and helpful. Felt very at home there.overall a lovely, pretty holiday cottage. Would highly recommend to others!

Lovely place and location! Host was very responsive! We had a wonderful time touring and hiking in the area. Live music at the Ewe Pub at the Fortingall Inn on Friday night was one of the highlights of the trip! Hope to go back some day! Thanks Trudi and Mark for sharing the Burn Cottage with us!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful location

Had a fantastic few days at this wonderful cottage. What a find. Ideal base for exploring a beautiful part of Scotland. Cycling in Glen Lyon was magical. The cottage was the best we have stayed in with the huge bed really comfortable. Loved eating out on the patio beside the stream and listening to all the birds. We will be back.

Burn Cottage was perfect. The host was incredibly responsive. Instructions were easy to follow. The cottage was clean, well-decorated and absolutely perfect for a trip my wife and I had talked for years about taking. The location was central to many of the places we visited although there is enough to do in the area to keep one occupied for days. The wood-burner was wonderful and the outside patio with the sounds of the stream were peaceful. We saw pheasant and the hillside across the road was host to more than 70 red stag many of the nights we were there. The furniture and bed were very comfortable. With expectations that can mount over years of planning a trip, many things can be a letdown. We did not experience that with the beauty and people of Scotland and the experience of staying at Burn Cottage was central to a trip of a lifetime. We would recommend to anyone.

This cottage is a true hidden gem. My partner and I stayed for a few nights to escape the city, and it couldn’t have been better.Check-in was simple and stress-free, and the cottage itself was clean, cosy, and had everything we needed — comfortable and clearly well cared for.The surrounding area is stunning. Fortingall is peaceful and full of character, with amazing walks right from the doorstep. On our host’s recommendation, we visited the Hot Box Spa in nearby Kenmore — set right on Loch Tay, it was a beautifully relaxing way to spend an afternoon.If you’re after a quiet, scenic break in a really special part of Scotland, this place is hard to beat. We’re already hoping to return.
