Family birthday

The house and garden configuration perfectly suited our needs . Luxurious facilities and spotlessly clean . We all enjoyed our long weekend and age range spanned 64 years !! We would definitely recommend Cartrefle to a large family or group of couples as most bedrooms have their own bathroom .

A beautiful, characterful house for a family stay

We had a lovely family week at Cartrefle. It’s a beautiful, spacious and very characterful house, with some gorgeous interiors and plenty of room for a large family to spend time together without feeling on top of one another. We particularly loved the traditional feel of the house and its location, which was a great base for exploring Anglesey. Heather was extremely helpful and communicative both before and during our stay, which we really appreciated. Overall we really enjoyed our week and have some very happy memories of our family holiday there.

Very comfortable and flexible accommodation in perfect location

As a base for exploring the delights of Anglesey, Cartrefle was ideal. The house is very well equipped and the younger members of our party particularly enjoyed the extensive grounds, football pitch and hot tub. Our stay coincided with the end of May heatwave and the mid-week provision of parasols was greatly appreciated. As for suggestions to improve, a minor observation - the well stocked crockery drawer would benefit from the inclusion of pasta bowls.

Recent Family Short Break

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the most amazing family holiday at this beautiful house in Wales! The home was spotless, spacious, and full of charm — with stunning views and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kids loved the outdoor space, and we all enjoyed cozy evenings in the grand family room. A perfect base to explore the Welsh countryside. We can’t wait to come back!

A Memorable Stay at Cartrefle

Cartrefle is a stunning home, thoughtfully designed to accommodate a large group comfortably. Our stay was excellent—everything we needed was provided. The surrounding area is beautiful, offering endless opportunities for day trips and outdoor adventures. We especially loved being within walking distance of the village, with made exploring even more enjoyable. There's so much to see and do nearby!

A family weekend at Catrefle

I booked a family weekend at Catrefle . I was not disappointed . The house was amazing . The grounds were beautiful . The age range was 18 months to 80 years . Every single member of my family enjoyed every minute of the Catrefle experience . They can’t wait for the next time . It surpassed all expectations . A wonderful weekend of memories being made for my family of 16 . A big Thankyou to Heather for all her help . Nothing was too much trouble to sort out for me . A weekend to remember . Everyone needs a Catrefle experience .

Stunning house with stunning views. The perfect trip!!

An absolutely magnificent stay at this property. The best one I have ever stayed in. The property is big, but cosy and comfortable, every bedroom is impeccable and the beds are comfortable with no expense spared. Kitchen is well equipped and functional. We were blessed with incredible weather meaning we could sit on the balcony and enjoy the views with every meal outside. A couple of teeny tiny things that didn’t effect our stay (such as cleaners forgetting to take their bag of linen), but owners were apologetic and helpful. Obviously the property is expensive, but for the size and quality it is totally justifiable. We would love to go again and we LOVED our stay. Thank you!

Cartrefle long weekend

We had an absolutely wonderful last minute break here. Heather was very helpful and able to give local recommendations for restaurants and caterers. The hot tub was perfect and we all enjoyed it. The house itself is huge and easily accommodated our extended family of 3 generations. The photos don’t really do the space justice. Very comfortable beds, powerful showers, large, soft towels provided, all was clean and very well thought out. The location is excellent, beautiful views across to the bridge, and a short stroll down to the shops, cafes and restaurants of Menai Bridge. We hope to return one day, and would highly recommend to others, many thanks.
