Great location. Renters should be aware of 106 stairs to the apartment and only one comfortable chair to sit in. Otherwise this is a very nice place. The host was helpful and check in easy.

As this is a historic building, access to the apartment requires climbing several flights of stairs, and lift is not listed among the amenities. The apartment is very old and had no window coverings, specifically in the bathroom. This was a problem when men were working on the railings and scaffolding! The kitchen was not clean and old. You also have to walk 125 stairs to get to apartment. However, it is in a great location in Florence and the AC worked great. Otis was extremely friendly, kind and supportive at check in.

Very charming and cozy with a great location (I don’t think you could get much better for the price you pay!). Check-in was straightforward, apartment was clean and had good communication with the host - they checked in and offered help with anything. Notably, the apartment is on the 5th floor. (Though the listing saying fourth floor, my understanding is that may be due to the first non-ground floor being for business/non-residential?) depending what luggage situation you have it could be quite challenging (as the listing says, no elevator). The stay was a 4-4.5/5 for us. There were a few loose ends that needed to be tidied up in order to make this feel truly “move in ready”. Having said that, it was a good time and we are glad we stayed there!
