We spent 10 days at Watermill Villa. The villa has breath taking views of el Helis beach and is in a fantastic position. Beautiful grounds and pool. The owner's restaurant is a few steps away and we ate there 5 times. Other restaurant worth a visit is Esperides (15 min walk). We didn't rent a car but stayed in Argostoli for 2 nights and did fantastic island tour.Villa itself is almost perfect. The TV with satellite didn't work at all (not that we wanted to watch it but would have been useful if you were laid up or weather bad). WIFI isn't great - about 6MB at best. Aircon in large kitchen/lounge isn't all that effective but fine in bedrooms. There are no fold-up beach chairs so if you want to sit on the beach below you can either sit on a towel or rent a bed at EUR25 per day. No welcome info pack or translated appliance instructions. On arrival, even though the taxi driver spoke to the owner he couldn't find the villa. Not quite sure why there isn't a discreet sign 'Watermill' outside to help locate it. On our penultimate day there was a power cut. Although power was restored soon after, the cut had triggered an issue with the villa. Unfortunately, the owner didn't manage the issue with any proactivity or empathy. We were told that it was out of their control but eventually, after 8 or so hours without power, an electrician visited and it was fixed. Owner did comp our dinnerThe villa is great and with a few tweaks together with improved customer service could be perfect.

Beautiful oceanfront villa!

My family and I had a perfect stay at this villa. The view is absolutely breathtaking and I couldn’t have asked for a better beach front location. The beach was beautiful and sandy and has umbrellas and chairs to rent ($15 for two) and a snack bar. The owner, Kostas, was incredibly helpful and even took us to the market once we arrived to shop. There are about 8 tavernas within walking distance (20 minutes). Also, a market and another beach. Sea Salt restaurant, right below the villa, is a beautiful spot for lunch or dinner. A wonderful stay and we are already wanted to plan a trip to return!

Beautiful property

The house and grounds are wonderful. We enjoyed the pool, the deck to view the ocean and the closeness to the beach. It is everything you need for a fabulous vacation on kefalonia

Beautiful place

Amazing position, lovely villa with lots of sitting areas within a pretty private garden all with wonderful views! Few minutes walk to a Blue Flag awarded beach which the villa overlooks!! The Villa has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We all loved it. Thank you Gerasimos a great host

Lovely Accommodation and Location

This was a great place to stay. A little bit away from the shops but lovely restaurant on way to the beach which was just a stone throw away. The best beaches we visited in Kefalonia. The water sports hiring shop on the beach was run by friendly, helpful people too. Cleaner was lovely too. People are very friendly in Kefalonia.

Noch schöner als auf den Fotos

Wir hatten die Villa für 4 Wochen gemietet. Bei der Ankunft waren wir positiv überrascht, alles war noch etwas mehr eingewachsen als auf den Fotos und wirklich traumhaft schön. Zudem gab es zum Meer hin eine weitere Terrasse die auf den Fotos noch nicht zu sehen ist. Es sind wirklich nur ein paar Schritte bis zum Strand. Auch gibt es einige Restaurants in der Umgebung, das Seafood Restaurant des Bruders des Besitzers ist sogar direkt angrenzend. Die Villa inkl. aller Zimmer wurde zwei Mal pro Woche gereinigt durch eine sehr freundliche Reinigungskraft, der Pool sogar täglich, früh morgens durch den Vater des Besitzers.

Perfect getaway by the sea

A great place to unwind with the family and Gerasimos is an extremely helpful host. The villa is spacious, well equipped and has good air conditioning. Outside there is a lovely pool, good sun beds and verandas for shade and eating under. We also used the barbecue. The beach is a short walk down the private cliff path (passing the newly opened Sea Salt restaurant- also highly recommended!). We loved it there and look forward to returning!

A fantastic villa!

This is a fantastic villa with steps down to the beautiful Ai Helis beach. Stunning views and a very caring and helpful host in Kostas. Watermill Villa has everything you could need and is spotlessly clean. We had a fabulous week exploring the island and had some amazing food at some brilliant restaurants (Lorraine’s Magic Hill in Lourdata, Enastron, Acropolis and Esperides). We would highly recommend this villa !

Spectacular experience from start to finish!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Villa Watermill. We had a wonderful time. Everything we needed was there (kitchen appliances and tools, pool & beach towels, etc.) and the pictures do not do the place justice. It is more stunning in real life! Loved having the private pool AND the option to head down to the beach whenever we wanted. Kosta was very helpful and responsive. Such an easy host to work with! We will definitely return again!

Awesome location

It has been said before the property is better than the pictures. It is a short walk to the beach if you want to leave the pool and a 20min walk to a selection of restaurants and a 1/2 walk to Avivos beach, where I recommend both beach and the Taverna. The owner is in the process of building a beach bar next to the house but will be invisible from the house but as there is only a rough track with a steep slope for access. Enjoy yourselves we had a fantastic time here.

The Watermill Villa

Fantastic property, clean with good amenities. Great beach just moments away. Local shop easy walking distance well stocked with larger supermarkets 20 minutes away by car. Airport noise no issue even though it is close. Easy car ride to villa for those who are uncomfortable passengers on an island with small roads. Beds are comfortable and clean f you enjoy listening to the lap of the waves when off to bed this is the place for you. Host is always on hand to assist if required. Great October getaway

Great location and amazing views

We stayed at Watermill Villa for four weeks and it was probably one of the best kept properties we have ever rented. The grounds were immaculate and the pool was (quietly) cleaned in the mornings before we even got up. The views were amazing and looked across the bay and down to the beach. It was lovely and peaceful, apart from the odd person trying to peer over the wall to get a view of the property. Although there is a mini-market and some restaurants (notably Esperides, Fois and I Milos) within 10-15 minute walking distance, it's advisable to rent a car and try some of the other great restaurants nearby (like Olive Lounge, Casa Grec and Avithos Preview). The owner of the villa (Kostas) was always on call if needed and checked on us (discreetly) from time to time. There was also a cleaner twice a week, which we probably didn't need that often being just the two of us, but she was very thorough and replaced towels and linen on every visit. The only (minor) things that we would say could add to the experience are; a better corkscrew and a knife sharpener (or sharper knives). Having said that, it was a fabulous villa and we had a very enjoyable and memorable holiday. We hope to be back.

Outstanding

What a fabulous Villa, in a fantastic location. We spent two weeks in August. It's 10 Min drive From The airport. Local mini market and few tavernas are about 15 min walk; however, I would recommend hiring a car ( and well in advance) The owner Kostas was rapid in responding to our queries before arrival; he met us at the villa, showed us around and even treated us to some local goodies. The cleaning lady came twice a week; she was outstanding! In the villa, you had everything you possibly needed, even beach towels. Rooms very generous size with wardrobes bigger than in my own house😂. There is private access to the beach. As mentioned before, you will need a car if you want to see a Beuty of Kefalonia. There is no public transport which can be used to access points of interest. You must visit Myrtos beach Skala Assos Fiskardo Driving is not easy at first as the roads are very winding. At the time we stayed ( August), there were loads of mosquitos and wasps. Funny enough, you won't see them indoors, just outdoors. I strongly recommend this villa. Kostas, thank you for the opportunity to stay at your beautiful via. I hope to see you again.

Tolles Haus, jederzeit wieder !!!

Das Haus, die Lage alles top. Costas und seine Familie sehr nett und besorgt, dass alles in Ordnung ist. Die Bäder sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber. Der neue Pavillon ist sehr schön, dort noch ein großer Tisch und es ist perfekt. Wir kommen gerne wieder uns hat es allen super gefallen.

A perfect stay

We had a wonderful week at Watermill House, it is the perfect spot, on the beach, with a gorgeous pool and amazing views. Kostas was so helpful and the villa has everything you need. We hope to go back next year.

Fab house in amazing location

Lovely comfortable house. Amazing location - walk 2 minutes to beach. Supermarket and half a dozen restaurants within 10/15 minute walk. Views to die for !

Amazing, highly recommend

We've just returned from a family holiday here. The villa was beautiful with stunning views across Ai Helis beach. Kostas was there to greet us on arrival and had arranged a food pack for us which was really helpful after a few hours travel with young children. The villa was spotlessly clean and well presented. We went the third week of October and there was only a handful of bars and restaurants open and a little shop about a 15 min walk away. This was fine for us as we had hired a car and could make our own way to bigger supermarkets and restaurants. The perfect place for a quiet family break away.

Erholung und Ruhe

Das Objekt ist genial, die Aussicht atemberaubend. Die Aufteilung im Haus ist Klasse, Souterrain mit Wohnraum, Schlafzimmer und Bad. Erdgeschoss mit Wohnraum und Küche, 2Schlafzimmern und Bad. Obergeschoss mit 2 Schlafzimmer und 2 Bädern. Alle Räume sind klimatisiert und mit Fliegengittern ausgestattet. Alles sauber und tip top. Zwei mal wöchentlich Reinigung, Bettwäsche und Handtuch Wechsel. Super Pool mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen sowie Pool Handtücher. Direkter Zugang zum Sandstrand. Einkaufs sowie Restaurants in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Vermieter ist immer erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Alles in allem eine Oase der Ruhe und Genuss pur. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Outstanding outlook

This is a beautiful villa, lovely clean pool. Lots of stairs and different levels so don't recommend for less able. Steps down to bar and beach are uneven and characterfu . Nearest shop and a couple of restaurants are a pleasant walk away. Lovely area close to Ammes Beach with restaurants and planes just above while you swim a short car ride away. Local beaches all sandy. Cleaning twice a week. Really lovely.

Fabulous Family stay in Aug19

We had a fantastic and very relaxing stay at this property. The house and grounds were extremely clean and tidy. We enjoyed the pool during the day and the wonderful decking area overlooking the sea in the evenings. No real need to cook as there were lots of restaurants both a walk and short drive away and it wasn’t very touristy when we were there. The short path to the beach meant we could enjoy swimming in the sea then return to the house to dry off. The host was very friendly and always available if required. All in all one of our most pleasurable and relaxing holidays in the last few years.

Villa stupenda, oltre le aspettative. Attrezzata di tutto , pulizia ottima. Esterno molto ben curato, piscina pulita e calda. Posizione, esposizone e vista incredibile. Accesso alla spiaggia esclusivo e allo snakbar. Ci piacerebbe tornate. ...da non perdere.
