A delightful property with a very helpful host

This villa lived up to our expectations, nice spacious accommodation, in a central location on the island, and with a swimming pool. Maria was extremely helpful.

Great stay

Maria was the perfect host and the house was first class. We did not need anything and the pool and surroundings was excellent. The location was a bit away from everything so a rental car is a must. Thank you for everything, Maria !

Perfect

The villa was perfect for us. 3 double bedrooms all with ensuite and balconies with amazing views over the sea. Lovely pool which was cleaned during our stay. 15 min walk to the gorgeous beach with the choice of 2 tavernas..with delicious homemade Greek dishes. Maria was very welcoming , meeting us at the airport and leaving a delicious pie for us as well as basic groceries. There was everything we needed in the villa..we would definitely return..

Lovely holiday

Great 7 days - Maria was super friendly, kitchen was well stocked with goodies when we arrived plus a yummy moussaka later in the week. The villa is well equipped and spacious. Enjoyed the balconies and outside space. Very quiet too. The pool was great and well needed with the heat. Walking distance to a number of tavernas and bar, plus local beach. Would recommend hiring a car to get round the island.

Lovely villa with beautiful view

This villa was perfect for our family holiday. Private pool. Balconies overlooking olive groves and out to sea. 15 minutes to walk to the beach, two lovely tavernas and a beach bar. Very clean inside and out. Maria, the host, was great and supplied us with essentials plus more, even brought us round a homemade moussaka one evening. Nice location to be if you have a car as you are close to Argostoli, Svoronata and Lassi but rural enough to feel surrounded by beauty and tranquility. We would definitely stay again.

The property is a clean and beautiful, traditional greek villa with all of the ameneties that you need for a comfortable holiday. We stayed with our three children and grandparents, so 7 of us comfortably fit (the chilldren shared one room) There are aircon units in each room which work perfectly, almost too cool! The pool was cleaned during our stay and was perfect to cool off in the heat. The children enjoyed the outdoor space and grass area. We also used the outdoor BBQ a few times which was perfect when you wanted to enjoy a night at the villa instead of venturing out. The wasps were the only annoyance when eating outside. Maria the host was extremely helpful and kind, and the Mousakka that was brought during our stay was better than any we have ever tasted! Thank you! I would recommend a car when using this villa if you want to see the island, however there are two beautiful beaches within walking distance from the property (Avithos and Helios) there is also a shop about a mile or so away which we walked to a few times, as well as a few restaurants (We went to Fois for a traditional greek music night and the evening was splendid) All in all, a wonderful stay!

Great Villa, Superb Host

The villa is spacious, clean and well equipped, with a very nice, clean pool that is larger than it appears in the photos. The location is peaceful with lovely views across olive groves down to the sea. There are two beaches within a 15-20 minute walk. The nearest is Avithos beach which has two great tavernas at the back of it and a winery with views over the bay half way between between the villa and the sea. A car is a must if you plan to visit anywhere on the Island, which is recommended as it's a lovely area. Maria is a fantastic host. She helped us out with any questions we had and arranged taxis for us. She also met us a short distance from the villa and guided us there on our arrival. When we arrived there were supplies waiting for us in the fridge and a traditional Kefalonian pie in the oven. She also gave us a home-made mousakka part way through our stay. We can't praise her enough. We were a group of three couples and the villa and the area suited us perfectly. We would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Villa Maria

Everything about this holiday was idyllic. We stayed in Villa Maria for 11 nights. After arriving at the airport Maria met us at a local petrol station and led us to the villa. There was a great welcome pack with a bottle of wine, bottles of water and beer in the fridge, and some milk. Herbs salt and pepper in the cupboards, all of the things that you quite often have to buy. Maria showed us around the villa, the doors and windows are all fitted with screens so you can let the breeze and keep the bugs out. The photos online do not do the upstairs master bedroom justice. It has a high beamed ceiling and is beautiful, with a lovely sitting out area. The pool area was what attracted us to the villa and it didn't disappoint. The pool was so clean and was well looked after by Maria's husband. Maria also left us a spanakopita (cheese and spinach) pie in the oven which was still warm. Later in the week she brought a home made moussaka which was a lovely touch. She is a warm and welcoming host and I would recommend the property to anyone. Just as a note, for great cocktails and drinks Crazy George's was excellent. We didn't eat there but it was friendly and the drinks were good. The two restaurants down at the beach To Enetiko and Avithos Preview were both good.

Great holidays!

House is perfect, area is very nice with a small beach and 2 very good tavernas at 15 minutes by feet. By staying in that house you can reach every areas and fantastic beaches of the island but you need a car. Kefalonia is a beautiful island, a great discovery! Maria is a perfect host always avalaible, helpful and welcoming with very warm surprises in the fridge and in the oven. We were 2 adults and 2 teens hence the 3 rooms with independant bathrooms were juste a hit! We can only recommend that house! Great holidays!

Relaxing, comfortable, well equipped Villa with wonderful views

We stayed as a family with 3 teenage children and loved our holiday in the Villa. It’s really well equipped, with lots of really nice extra touches which helped to make our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. There are so many different places to sit, relax, hang out, enjoy the views and your meals or play games; as well as the lovely pool area for sunbathing and lots of swimming. Maria welcomed us at the airport, helped with our luggage and provided a delightful welcome pack with essential items including her delicious Kefalonia pie. We hired a car as wanted to explore more of the island as it has so much to offer. The local supermarket is well stocked and several excellent restaurants nearby. The local Avithos beach was a great place to watch the sun go down with a little drink in the bar! We found everyone really welcoming, generous - definitely recommend Maria as a host. Thanks for helping to make this such a wonderful holiday.

Un piccolo angolo di paradiso

Tutto perfetto . La casa è leggermente decentrata ma in una posizione ottima per vedere tutta l’isola . Con una passeggiata di 10 minuti sei sulla spiaggia di avitosh dove abbiamo visto nascere le tartarughine 🐢Completa di tutto . Piscina molto bella e comoda. Proprietaria molto gentile , cambio asciugamani e lenzuola ogni 4/5 gg . Fornito anche di teli per piscina. Ogni stanza dispone del suo bagno privato . Ottima vista . Al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato la prima spesa in pratica fatta con acqua fresca birra e vino in frigorifero, frutta e una torta salata ancora calda in forno .Se vogliamo proprio dare un suggerimento per una casa comunque perfettamente funzionale : aggiungere una doccia esterna vicino alla piscina. Sarebbe comodissima ! 😘😘😘

Great property for three couples

This was a great property for three couples as we all had our own rooms with ensuites, air-conditioning and mosquito blinds on doors and windows. Nice and peaceful... So slept really well. About 15 mins walk down to Avithos beach which has two tavernas, beach lounges and a beach bar. Approx 20 min walk back with parts up hill. Maria was a great and lovely host. We had an issue with the fridge and she sorted it really quickly ... new fridge now in place and works really well. Her mousakka was delicious and the wine she gave us such a great touch.

A perfect place to relax in the sun

Maria welcomed us at the airport and showed us to the villa which was just perfect for the 5 of us . The pool was lovely . We enjoyed being able to walk to Avithos beach and the taverna in the evening so on a couple of days we didn’t even need to take the car out . Maria made us a delicious moussaka one night We also enjoyed a bbq one night and we enjoyed sitting out on the terrace . Many thanks to Maria for tge extra touches

Nice Villa with beautiful view

The house is located close to the Airport and to Agrostoli. With a car you can reach the supermarkets and the beautiful Avithos beach within minutes. The Villa is well equipped and Maria is a lovely host. She came to clean the pool and the house regulary and she even cooked a yummy Moussakka for us. I would absolutley recommend Villa Maria to anybody who wants to have nice and relaxed holidays.

Beautiful villa in stunning location

This is a lovely villa in a beautiful setting overlooking the sea, my family of four adults two children and a baby stayed here for a week. The setting and views are spectacular and the pool big and clean. Maria and her husband were lovely, the pool was cleaned every day, something I have never experienced before, Maria came in once during our stay and changed all the beds and gave the villa a thorough clean. Maria met us at the airport with two cars and took us to the villa at no cost, the villa is situated about 15 minutes from the airport however no problem with noise. Maria made us a lovely mousaka for our first night and even got us some shopping to see us through till we got to the supermarket. The beach and two taverna are a nice 15 minute walk away. The beach is lovely, golden sand Crystal clear water plenty of Sun beds and umbrellas. The beach is safe for families. The tavernas are overlooking the beach and a perfect setting for lunch or dinner, we ate in both the Enetiko and Avithos preview taverna and found both wonderful however the prawns in the Avithos preview taverna were the biggest and best I have ever had. Prices in both are reasonable. A very big thank you to all the staff in Enetiko for looking after us so well and all the free drinks and ice cream for our grandchildren. I would definitely recommend villa Maria and the island of Kefilonia for a wonderful relaxed holiday.

Great Villa

Our stay in this villa was very comfortable. It's a lovely villa with plenty of space, pretty surroundings and very friendly and welcoming owners - Maria and family. Maria was extremely helpful and attentive to all our needs, even bringing my family a homemade Mousaka one evening for our tea! The only thing that stopped me giving the villa 5 out of 5 was that there a few things missing such as no microwave, not enough glasses or mugs, no towels for the pool and no spare bedding or pillows - Only little things, I know. But I would return and recommend to family and friends too.

fantastica location e ottima scelta.

abbiamo soggiornato una settimana a cefalonia , splendida isola, con altri 4 amici ed abbiamo scelto questa casa . La scelta è stata fantastica sia per la location che per la proprietaria (Maria) . il posto è vicino all'aereoporto, alla città più grande di Cefalonia e a delle splendide spiagge : nei dintorni si possono trovare anche dei ristorantini/taverne veramente caratteristici in cui è possibile mangiare bene e a prezzi che in Italia ci sogniamo. La casa è veramente bella e le foto rendono meno rispetto alla realtà .Consigliatissima. Grazie Maria.

abbiamo soggiornato in una splendida casa molto pulita e perfettamente arredata , ogni camera ha il suo bagno all interno ,quindi è molto adatta a tre coppie di amici o a due famiglie in quanto è garantita la privacy per tutti . la posizione della casa è perfetta , dalle camere si vede il mare e la zona molto tranquilla si dorme benissimo!!!. la piscina è incantevole tutta attrezzata con lettini e grandi ombrelloni , c è pure un giardino ben curato . ottimo il patio coperto dove è possibile mangiare all aperto sia a mezzogiorno che la sera perche sempre in ombra !. un grande ringraziamento a Maria per la sua disponibilita e generosita , consigliamo questa casa a tutti gli italiani e non ,che vogliono visitare cefalonia . un altro aspetto positivo è la presenza di una spiaggia vicino alla casa (700 metri) chiamata avithos beach tra l altro una delle poche di sabbia presenti sull isola . paolo

Beautiful villa

We stayed in September 2012 for 1 week and really enjoyed our stay. The villa was lovely and the owner Maria was very helpful. She met us at the airport and also cooked a meal for us one evening which was absolutely delicious and a lovely surprise. The villa had all the equipment needed for our stay with fresh towels and sheets. The villa was in a great position to explore the island which we did and particularly enjoyed the visit to the castle and ate lunch at the cafe just near the entrance which was fabulous. We enjoyed the great pool which was very relaxing during the lovely sunny days. The views from the villa are particularly beautiful especially from the main bedroom. Overall I would certainly recommend this villa but a car is definitely needed if you want to explore. Thanks to Maria and her family for sharing their lovely villa with us.

Perfect!

It was a perfect villa for me and my family. The owners Maria and Harry are extremely hospitable and attentive, keeping us happy with all our extras needs (our son is extremely allergic). The house was beautifully arranged and prepared and stocked to our request prior our arrivals. The owners picked us up from the airport and helped us arrange our car rental. The villa is beautifully located close to the airport (and dont worry about airplane traffic or noise at all) and the vistas are very picturesque. The photos don't do justice to the place. Location wise is also perfect. Ten minutes to the airport and the capital of the island and five minutes to the closest beach which was well organized and with great little tavernas to enjoy the local cuisine. Maria kept the pool daily cleaned and twice a week tidy up the house and changed sheets and towels. She also cooked for us for a couple of times some amazing dishes! I would without hesitation highly recomend the villa Maria both for families with or without kids or couples or even group of friends that would like to have a great time on such a beautiful island.

Vacanza meravigliosa in una villa stupenda

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa villa in 7 persone e siamo stati veramente bene. La signora Maria è una persona molto gentile e disponibile, tutti i giorni veniva a ripulire la piscina e ogni 3-4 giorni faceva la pulizia della villa e il cambio della biancheria. La casa è arredata con gusto e con tutti i confort per poter trascorre una bellissima vacanza a Cefalonia. La consigliamo veramente a tutti!!

per una vacanza di vero relax

La residenza è veramente ben tenuta e curata nei dettagli. I proprietari sono persone veramente molto gentili. E' posizionata in una zona veramente pittoresca: spiccano i coltori scagianti delle buganville, ibiscus e centinai e altri fiorni fra il verde degli ulivi, pini e cipressi. E abbastanza vicina al principale centro (Argostoli) e in buona posizione per poter effettuare tante magnifiche escursioni in un'isola che è veramente molto bella.
