Beautiful Villa

We enjoyed our stay! The property is beautiful and only a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. The manager of the property was responsive and kind. One thing: be aware of the extra person charge after 10 guests, as I found this was not clearly listed on VRBO and added a substantial amount to the cost. The house is spacious except for the kitchen and easily holds 15, which was our total guest number. The additional guest charge was surprising.

Magnifica casa.

Magnifica casa para nuestro plan. Un grupo de 14 adultos de todas las edades con espacio amplio y muy cómodo. Las habitaciones de matrimonio son perfectas y el resto cumplen su función. Los espacios comunes, tanto los interiores como los exteriores son acogedores y agradables. Situada en una zona muy tranquila cerca de súper, del centro y de la playa (10/15’ minutos andando). La atención por parte de Jaime, nuestro casero, ha sido fluida y perfecta. Un único pero, tuvimos que salir una hora antes 11:00, de lo que pone en la web, por protocolo covid. Muy recomendable

Top destination

we thoutoughly enjoyed our stay in Somo. The house was perfect for our group of friends. Wwe were twelve people and I never felt that were were living on top of one another. Everyone had their own space. The kitchen could be a little bigger and I missed a pantry cupboard to pack food away. But this did not spoil our holiday. The beach is actually 1,1km away from the house. We walked this route more than once a day. All in all. We will go back there.

OPINION

Nos ha parecido muy correcto, la zona fenomenal y con comunicaciones estupendas, la calefacción y agua caliente estupenda, barbacoa fenomenal, como posibles mejoras totalmente constructivas, comentaríamos la calidad del wifi, y la opción de un segundo frigorífico ya que dada la gran capacidad de personas seria bueno un extra de espacio refrigerado. Volveríamos a repetir sin dudarlo.

Spacious place within walking distance to the beach

Very spacious house, 2 nice terraces and garden. Very warm welcome. Superb for families. Situated in a quiet area. Generally tidy. Windows, corners of bathrooms and ceilings could be cleaner.

Casa muy bonita y cómoda en Somo

Alquilamos la casa de Jaime y Cristina por una semana para unas vacaciones en familia: once personas y tres generaciones. La casa tiene espacios muy cómodos para todos, desde niños a mayores. La distribución de dormitorios permitió algo de independencia y las zonas comunes de la planta baja nos fueron muy agradables tanto en los días de sol como en los ratos más desapacibles. El jardín es espectacular: cómodo, tranquilo y con unos preciosos árboles que daban suficiente sombra. La cocina es cómoda y espaciosa y pudimos usar también la parrilla sin problemas. Como pequeño comentario sugeriríamos afilar los cuchillos. Recomendamos la casa sin duda alguna; si regresamos por Cantabria de vacaciones, procuraremos volver!

Lovely holiday, very quiet area, house was great.

There're were 7 adult on this trip, and the house was great. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen area is small, we ate out mostly, but trying to prepare a meal in was a challenge, the layout made moving around quite difficult. For more people this would I think be very difficult. Restaurants in Somo were average, boat to Santander was good and plenty to see and do over there. We bought a kettle for the house, we needed tea and a saucepan did not really meet our needs. Overall very good, Jose was friendly and helpful.

Perfecta para vacaciones en familia

Hemos pasado unos días en la Navidad de 2016. Éramos 9 adultos y 3 niños y hemos estado fenomenal. La casa está totalmente equipada, Las habitaciones son amplias y cómodas y tiene zonas de estar súper acogedoras, además de un jardín precioso. Está cerca del pueblo y a un paseo de la playa.

Detached house of country style inside a private urban development and in a very calm environment. The house is to 400 meters of the best beach of Cantabria in the least crowded area during the summer months.

The house has a capacity for 16 persons distributed in 8 rooms. There is available cradle for baby.

The house has a agreeable gardens to the south and east and space to park 3 cars.

ENVIRONMENT and EXCURSIONS

The house is 15 ' of the airport of Santander-Parayas and 50 ' of the airport of Bilbao. To 40 ' of the neocueva of Altamira in Santillana Del Mar and to 50 ' of the Museum Guggenheim. Well communicated with Santander in 20 ' for highway or by boat, across a beautiful walk in Pedreñera for the bay.

A big supermarket exists to 500 meters of the house.

FREE TIME

If the Golf pleases you have the best fields to 10 ': in Pedreña, that of Seve Ballesteros and "La Junquera".

The spectacular Somo beach with its 7 kilometers long is ideal to go in for aquatic sports like surfing, kite or windsurfing, SUP, diving, fishing... The host takes 30 years doing surfing and it will be able to advise you and communicate with the best schools with a few special conditions. It is the perfect place to begin in the Surfing.

In the municipality you will be able to visit other spectacular beaches like Loredo, Galizano or Langre (with nudist area). If you like skating, in Somo you have an extraordinary Skate-park.

The environment arranges of a big gastronomic offer that goes from excellent hamburger restaurants, chic restaurants as Magnolia Bar up to stars Michelin (Amós's Arbor).

ROUTES and NATURE RESERVES

The municipality of Ribamontán Al Mar to which it belongs Somo has beautiful routes for the coast, also Cabarceno, Collados del Ason Natural Park and Picos de Europa with Potes, offers the best places to visit in the North of Spain
