Buckbarrow, a first-floor apartment, consists of a kitchen/diner with electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge (with ice box), dishwasher, kettle, toaster, and dining table for four, and a sitting room with Smart TV, sofa, and armchairs. The bedrooms consist of a double and twin. There is a shower room with walk-in shower, basin, and heated towel rail, and WC. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with patio, lawn, and furniture, and off-road parking for two cars. One well-behaved pet is welcome. Sorry, no smoking. The valley is notable as being one of few major valleys in the Lake District not to have its own lake, although several tarns are perched above the valley sides. Local attractions include Muncaster Castle, the World Owl Centre and the Ravenglass to Eskdale miniature railway, one of the most beautiful train journeys imaginable.
