Historic lakeside house with private beach

At the northern end of a mirror-like lake lie a few houses in an area called Sandhult. This historic property is reminiscent of a little Bullerby, and here you’ll have the opportunity to create wonderful memories in an authentic setting where time seems to have stood still.



The well-planned first floor invites you to spend time together, with a cozy sofa area for board games and a dining room offering a beautiful view of the lake. The bedrooms on the second floor feature windows facing both the lake and the meadow, and the house’s peaceful atmosphere creates the perfect setting for relaxation, completely free from the distractions of TV.



On the beautiful property—where iron ore was mined a few hundred years ago—large lawns stretch down to your very own sandy beach. Outside the garage (which also serves as a recreation room), a cozy seating area with a grill awaits—a perfect spot to watch the sunset over the lake. You’ll also have access to the charming lakeside cottage, an old chicken coop that’s now an extra living room down by the water. Here you’ll find life jackets, paddles, and two extra sleeping spots during the summer (in a cottage without electricity, for a truly close-to-nature experience).



The area around Sandhult offers wonderful activities year-round. Take a walk along the beautiful lake down to the grocery store and playgrounds (3 km), or hike the loop around the entire lake (6 km). You can also explore the award-winning large recreational forest with its many hiking trails, or discover local hidden gems. Back home, the shallow sandy beach is absolutely perfect for refreshing swims and water activities like paddling and fishing.
