Centenary house with views of La Maroma in Cútar

In Peña de Hierro, a lovingly restored century-old house awaits you, where the essence of Andalusia comes to life between whitewashed walls and natural materials. From here, you can contemplate the snow-capped La Maroma in winter and, on clear days, the mountains of Morocco. The centuries-old olive groves surrounding the house create a haven of absolute peace.



Designer Simone Deleij has created a bright interior that combines authenticity and freshness. Esparto grass, cane, and antique details add character to each room. You will find a living room with a wood-burning stove, a nostalgic kitchen with modern appliances, and three bedrooms, one with bunk beds perfect for children.



The centuries-old olive groves that surround the house invite you to stroll among the trees and discover the tranquility of rural Axarquía. Just a five-minute walk away is the top of La Peña, from where you can see the white villages of the region and, with luck, the African coast.



The Axarquía offers experiences for everyone: zip-lining in Comares, kayaking and paddle surfing on the La Viñuela reservoir, or the beach at Torre del Mar half an hour away. The white villages of the interior, with their gastronomy and traditions, are just a few minutes away. Every corner tells a story of authentic Andalusian charm.
