We were attending a conference at the GA Convention center. Hotels in the area were $200+ per night but this lovely rental was within a 15 min walk. It allowed us to bring our kids, save money by cooking our own meals and have much more space and privacy than at a hotel. My son was in awe of the city lights at night.
Pros: The Peach property was just as described and nice as pictured in the photos online. The bed was comfy and the two fold out couches in the living area were perfect for our kids. They loved the super soft duvet blankets and we had plenty of pillows and linens, and extra towels and full and small size toiletries were available in the closet. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. It was obvious the owner had remodeled the whole space to maximize functionality and even had upgrades that some might not notice (like quiet closing kitchen drawers). We felt like we were staying in a place from a magazine or something off Pinterest and we'd certainly return if in the area again. I research a lot when booking accommodations and this was the nicest and had the best price as compared to similar properties, even within the same building.
Ryan was very responsive to my questions beforehand and had his phone number posted for us to call or text if we needed anything, but honestly everything was taken care of and clear in the instructions he sent us so we never needed to call.
Cons: There was not a dining table so when we ate our meals the kids were at the bar (which they loved) but I enjoyed eating out on the porch. We were a little stressed about keeping them quiet because of the 'noise warnings' but it does make for a nice quiet building!
Recommendations-
I suggest booking parking online before arrival because it can vary depending on events. My husband booked his parking a day before arriving and got a week at the lot right next door (17 Baker) for $70 (he only needed 5 days but a week was the same price). When I arrived two days later the same lot was charging $30 for 24 hours at the kiosk on site.
There is a loading area at the back of the building where you can park temporarily that leads to the basement elevator and has luggage carts.
There is a Keurig and K-cups in the unit, not a coffee pot.
The Coke Museum and Aquarium are just a few blocks away, we felt safe walking with our kids, even at night. The MLK historical site was a short drive and worth a day visit, but go early for house tours.
Thanks again!
