The property was clean and generally adequate. However, the advertising of this property was extremely disappointing and, in my view, seriously misleading. The photographs used in the listing do not accurately represent the property we arrived at. Several areas are substantially different from the photographs shown when we booked, particularly the conservatory, living room and kitchen. I contacted Signature Stays about this and was told that the photographs had been altered using AI, but that “only the bedding design” had been changed. This is simply not true. The differences go far beyond the bedding and materially change the appearance and impression of the property.I have taken photographs showing what the property actually looks like and will attach these to this review where possible, so prospective guests can compare them with the advertised images.We deliberately chose to stay further outside St Albans because we believed, based on the photographs, that we were booking a superior property. Had the property been accurately represented, we would have made a different choice.The use of materially altered images that give a misleading impression raises serious concerns under UK advertising standards. The matter may warrant referral to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).The property itself was clean and functional, but that does not excuse inaccurate advertising.
