We really enjoyed this peaceful cabin right on the shore of Duck Lake. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out and be comfortable. The cabin is well-maintained and very clean. Honestly, the listing photos don't do it justice. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows for all of us to use. While there wasn't laundry available in the cabin, it was easy enough for us to run a few loads at Johnson's RV Park in St Mary.
There aren't a ton of food options nearby, but the full kitchen - and available oil, vinegar, and spices - made it easy to whip up meals after busy days in the park. I had everything I needed to cook, grill, and even bake. The grocery options nearby are pretty sparse and do the trick if you forgot something, so plan to pack your groceries in Browning, Kalispell, or another major town on your route to Duck Lake.
As others have mentioned, the road is gravel and rough in some spots. We were not surprised at the road's condition based on these comments and our Outback handled it without issue.
Let's talk about proximity... this location is perfect for exploring the east side of Glacier National Park. St Mary is just over 10 minutes away, plus Two Medicine and Many Glacier are less than an hour away. We failed to bring proper documents for the border, but Waterton Lakes is also super close to this cabin. It made it easier on all of us to not have to wake up crazy early to make the drive from the west side to see all the east side sights.
