Located in a pretty hamlet with a friendly pub/restaurant and village shop, butcher and delicatessen. Enjoy tranquil riverwalks from the doorstep along the River Coquet spotting birds and local wildlife along the way. The popular town of Rothbury is just two miles away with a range of bars, restaurants and amenities. Spend a memorable day exploring the National Trust’s amazing Cragside house and gardens, the Victorian home of the famous inventor, William Armstrong, with a café, adventure playground and stunning gardens to explore. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy cycling and walking trails within the Simonside Hills 7 miles and Brinkburn Priory (7 miles) offers scenic woodland walks. Harry Potter fans will enjoy a day at Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Gardens are a must see too, (14 miles). Beach lovers will find many sandy beaches at the coast, including Alnmouth (18 miles).

Step through the front door and head into the spacious lounge with exposed beams adding to the traditional character of the property. There is a warming wood burner for cosy evenings and a Smart TV for movie nights. The spacious dining room is perfect for enjoying meals at home, with a feature fireplace and seating, so you can catch up with some reading too. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a range of meals during your holiday, and the back door leads out to the garden.Upstairs, there are two bedrooms to choose from; a king-size and a double and the family bathroom completes the accommodation with a shower over the bath and WC.
Outside at the rear of the property, there is a courtyard with a storage room where you can store bikes. The enclosed garden beyond has two lovely seating areas and beautiful views toward the countryside and hills. Fire up the BBQ for alfresco dining in the warmer months and enjoy star gazing under the dark, Northumberland skies. Parking is in front of the cottage. An additional car may also park on the street.
