Step back in time and experience the charm of The Old Tailor's House, a beautifully newly refurbished late Victorian property tucked away on a quiet Cambridge street. Originally a tailor's shop, this characterful home blends period features with modern comforts, creating a unique stay for families, groups, professionals and visitors to Cambridge.



Ideally located just approximately 5-8 minutes walk from Cambridge Railway Station and a 10-minutes walk to the historic city centre, the house offers the perfect base for exploring the city's renowned colleges, shops, restaurants and attractions.



The Space:

The Old Tailor's House offers spacious and comfortable accommodation. The property features four well-appointed bedrooms, comprising three double bedrooms and one single bedroom.



There are 2 bathroom & 1 toilet facilities within the home:



An en-suite bathroom attached to the master bedroom at the first floor

A shared family bathroom located on the first floor

A convenient ground-floor toilet and wash basin



The heart of the home is the spacious open-plan living and dining area, providing the perfect space for relaxing, socialising, or enjoying meals together after a day exploring Cambridge.



A separate fully equipped kitchen offers everything needed to prepare home-cooked meals, whether you're staying for a few nights or an extended visit.



Kitchen Facilities

The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, fridge & freezer, full dining ware, and a variety of utensils for your convenience.

Toaster, Microwave, Kettle & Coffee Machine. Enjoy complimentary Nespresso coffee pods and tea to help you settle in and enjoy your first few days of your stay.

Please note that the house is equipped with a stovetop with oven – This is a traditional Everhot range cooker. That when turned on, it operates at a single, constant temperature. Unlike modern cookers, the heat cannot be adjusted up or down. It provides steady warmth and is designed for slow cooking and keeping food warm.



Laundry & Ironing Facilities - The property is equipped with a washing machine, a clothes airer for drying, and an iron with ironing board for your convenience.



Traveling with an infant? We can provide a travel cot & highchair upon request.



The spacious living room features comfortable seating, making it the perfect place for families and groups to relax and spend time together after a day exploring Cambridge. A Smart TV is provided for your entertainment. While there are no local cable channels available, guests can easily access their favourite streaming services by logging into their own accounts, including Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, BBC iPlayer and more.

Please note that the entrance to the courtyard is 235 cm wide. Vehicles wider than 235 cm will not be able to access the courtyard and should arrange alternative parking.



If your vehicle exceeds this width, the nearest public parking options are Cambridge Station Car Park and Queen Anne Terrace Car Park.



Outside, guests can enjoy a private courtyard garden, offering a peaceful spot to unwind with a morning coffee or evening drink after a busy day in the city.

The Neighborhood:

The beautiful Cambridge University Botanic Garden is just a short stroll away. Simply walk to the top of Norwich Street, turn right, and the main entrance is approximately 200 metres along the road.



The area is surrounded by some of Cambridge's renowned schools and colleges, making it a popular location for visiting families, academics and professionals. Nature lovers will also appreciate being close to Lammas Land and the picturesque River Cam, where you can enjoy riverside walks, watch the punters make their way towards Grantchester, and spot the famous grazing cattle during the warmer months.



Cambridge city centre, with its historic colleges, museums, independent shops, cafés and restaurants, is just a 12-minute walk from the property.



For food lovers, the vibrant Mill Road district is approximately 15 minutes away on foot and offers an excellent selection of independent cafés, international restaurants, bakeries and local shops that showcase Cambridge's diverse and welcoming community.



Getting Around:

For those who enjoy walking, the city centre is approximately a 12-minute stroll along Hills Road and Regent Street, placing Cambridge's historic colleges, shopping districts, cafés and attractions within easy reach.



Regular bus services can be found just a short walk away on Hills Road, providing convenient access to Cambridge city centre and surrounding areas.



Cambridge Railway Station is also conveniently located just an 8-minute walk away (at a brisk pace) via Station Road, offering excellent rail connections to London, Stansted Airport and destinations across the UK.

We have a strict policy against parties or events of any kind on the premises. The lead guest must be 21 years old to complete the online check-in form, agree to our Terms & Conditions, and upload at least 1 ID before check-in. Forms must be filled at least 24 hours prior to the check in date. We operate a self-check-in system and cannot meet our guests to check their IDs and verify guests in person. Failure to do so may result in the reservation being cancelled and the cancellation policy will still apply.



SAFETY & SECURITY: Please make sure you close and lock all the windows and doors when you are not on the property. If the property is found left unsecured (windows or doors open/unlocked) during your stay and/or at check-out, we retain the right to charge a penalty fee. A fee will also apply if the keys are misplaced during your stay or not returned to the lockbox at check-out. Thank you, we really appreciate your co-operation!



A £350 security deposit hold will be placed on your card two days before check-out and released after your stay, provided no issues are identified. This does not apply to Airbnb bookings and Homes & Villa by Marriott Bonvoy stays.



For stays of 10 nights or longer, an interim housekeeping service or linen change must be arranged during your stay. Failure to do so may result in additional charges at check-out. Please do not wash our linens or towels, as they require professional laundering. Charges may apply for unauthorised washing, excessive soiling, or replacement of damaged items.



Additional charges may also apply if the property is left in an unreasonable condition at check-out, such as excessive rubbish being left behind or dishes and cookware not being cleared away or loaded into the dishwasher.
