I am glad to hear you thought the house was clean and that the location worked out well for you. Yes, the house is dated. That is one of the main reasons we put pictures up on the web, so you know exactly what you are renting. Nice to know the property management team was helpful. We are so sorry you were unhappy with the rental home you chose & booked on VRBOs website. After reading your complaint, I think the main issue was that assumed the house had air conditioning. By no means did we mis-represent this home. No where on vrbos site did it say this home had air conditioning. I took a look at every Torch Lake property on VRBOs site. There are many of them that lists air conditioning as an amenity. There are many others that say NOTHING, as did our ad. Every house that does NOT list air conditioning as an amenity, means they have NO air conditioning. We decided to add it to our written description because you were so upset about it. Had you asked if the home had air conditioning you would have certainly been told NO. There are many rental homes in Northern Michigan that have electric base board heat. Most of these do not have air conditioning. As far as the house being dated, yes it is. We had pictures of every room on vrbo so you can see, everything. You certainly can tell from the furniture that the house is dated. When you called us asking about the air conditioning, you also stated to us that the house was not clean. I told you I could send the cleaning crew out there to take care of any issues and you told me that the house was too old and dated to every be clean. You declined having the cleaning crew come out. When you called and asked for additional fans, we brought you 4 additional fans. As you stated, you chose this house for the size and location. I believe the main reason was having 4 bedrooms for your size group. In your complaint, you felt that you were taken advantage of and paid way too much money for the rental. While I was on VRBOs site, I also looked up all the 4 bedroom houses on Torch Lake, There was only one house that was less than the one you rented. And, it did NOT have air conditioning. We have had 9 rentals in this particular house this summer. So far, you are the only renters that thought this house had air conditioning. The house you rented was also the 2nd least expensive 4 bedroom house on Torch. Again we are sorry you felt that you were taken advantage of.
