Great Beach House

This was our second time staying at this house and it did not disappoint. The check-in process was easy and the host super responsive. The home is spacious and in a great location. We had a wonderful vacation in this fabulous place.

Beautiful place

We loved being there. It’s a beautiful location and a beautiful building. The only draw back was we couldn’t get the heater to work so the building was a bit cold in the morning I would go back any time. Loved it

Beach paradise

Beautiful home with all the comforts and room that 11 of us needed. There were some problems that need to be addressed, but we were able to work around them and enjoyed our time there. We would rent it again. Problems: air conditioning in casita didn’t work. Smell in kitchen, maybe from outside hole in ground to sewer. Kitchen faucet broken but usable. bar had no water to faucet which was also broken but usable. Outside shower faucet broken with very little water flow. Water heater didn’t work. Key to casita broke while we were there and we couldn’t lock the door after that. We have spoken to owner but please send this list to him.

"Double Booked" and Money Wasted

The house has beautiful views and easily accessible to the beach, but...we had unwanted visitors and spent money and wasted money, which was not in our plans for the weekend. 1. We quickly realized that the air had not been turned on for our arrival, so it was very hot. Even with the air running, some areas of the house never got cooled down. 2. Upon entering we saw dead and alive roaches. We had to go into town and buy poison, we got a collection of over 20 dead roaches at one point, with others continuing to come out throughout our stay. 3. We noticed ants the night we first got there and strategically placed the groceries we had just bought. Next day, ants everywhere, ruined our food. They never quite left even after WE bought poison and cleaned. 4. Broken fridge. It didn’t seem to quite get cold and it ended up spoiling some of our food. It seemed to be working upon us leaving, maybe an intermittent problem. 5. Broken bed. It was held up by two wood pieces, not secure at all. 6. Other inconveniences that would have been completely overlooked, but due to all the issues, I figured I might as well list them: sliding door leading outside very difficult to open, the water was turned off with no instruction on how to turn it on. Hot water had to be figured. Time spent driving to town, spraying, cleaning, and disinfecting, all the wasted money from a broken fridge and bugs made this very disappointing. Requested partial refund, no response :(

GREAT House

We travel to Puerto Penasco at least once a year and this was one on our favorite houses. The location is perfect, and the house is extremely roomy! Will definitely rent this one again!

No Water

Location was beautiful, neighborhood was very nice, house was big and clean. The only issue we didn’t have water for 2 days out of our 3 day stay.

Sweet and sour experience

House was very nice and spacious. Property manager was very nice and stayed in touch all all times. The beach was beautiful and relaxing. However, my family and I were left with no water for a whole day, which made it very difficult especially for the kids. Imagine what that would do for the bathrooms, not being able to shower all day after being at the beach. For this reason, I will never go back.

Ok stay…

Heater did not work at all! Was not fixed during our stay and my elderly in-laws froze for 2 days. Location was great! No water pressure, had to light the water heater to get hot water. A little outdated and run down. Would not recommend this location!

Mixed feelings

The house is a nice normal house, nothing extravagant. The price was a bit high for it in my opinion. The cabinets and doors were not clean, the fans had lots of dust, there was dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The good things about this home is the location and that it is beachfront. You do have to travel a ways from the city area. I liked it it was peaceful and you do have to go thru security when coming in.

Place was GORGEOUS! The air conditioner was not working the best in the big house, called the caretaker and he did send someone out but that only worked for a day. Caretaker was super responsive. Overall super satisfied, will go back just not in one of the hottest months of the year.

Nice beach, did have trouble with cleanliness, broken items, water running out in the house

Upon arrival there were maintenance fixing piping, they had the garage open and we assumed we could us it, but they said not to. On the second night there was no running water and took 2 hours for someone to come fix it. There were mo near by stores, so had to travel long distances to get anything. Overall The house was Roomie and the beach was clean and beautiful.

Very Nice place

1st off the pictures of this property do not do it justice. The place is awesome and the beach right there off your deck. There are some minor maintenance issues i.e. front door, heck most doors knows needed some. House was clean and very big to accommodate everyone. Would of liked the wifi password prior to arrival or somewhere in the house. But all in all would love to stay here again, we all had a great time. Thanks

AC did not work

The AC did not work and they were unable to fix. Property manager Luis offered refund or second night comped on our next stay. I went for the second night comped on a future stay, I am trying to book that and am not getting any responses to my inquiries. Please refund my stay at this point I do not want to stay there anymore.

A covid escape

We are friends who have traveled together for the past 18 years. We missed 2020 and this year only half of our group was able to make it. The house was a good size for us and the beach was great. The wifi password was not timely communicated so one of our college kids missed an exam. Towels are not included so be prepared to bring your own. Overall this was a great house.

Loved the Beach home!

We have 9 people staying at this location and had plenty of room. The breach was beautiful and we all really enjoyed ourselves. The property manager great and even gave some extra info 3 days before checkin. The home was very clean and supplied with everything needed to cook. The home is about 30 mins away from downtown. Would love to stay at this location again soon :)

Beautiful home

Absolutely beautiful home. Very spacious The hot water went out while we were there and they took care of it first thing. The home was not well equipped with basic Necessities such as hand soap, dishwasher soap, or basic cooking supplies. We only stayed for 2 nights and were able to make do. If someone were to stay more than a couple nights, this would be difficult. We also booked last minute which may explain the lack of supplies. The home was clean accept the walls and dishes. Not to be picky, but food was on the walls near most garage cans, as well as several dishes were taken out of the cabinets dirty. There are no window blinds in the main area of the home as well, which made us feel uneasy at night, especially being we had small children running around. A few changes and this home would be an amazing rental. Just an opinion of someone who has stayed at many Airbnb‘s. Lastly, The master bedroom sheets and blankets were amazing and smelled super clean. However the bed is incredibly hard. Things I would recommend to the owner is window blinds, change in cleaning service, better equipped necessities, and a more comfortable mattress cover on the master bedroom. Luis is awesome though. And super quick to respond. Took care of the water heater issue and the Internet issue fast. Overall... love your home.

Big, beautiful home on a big, beautiful beach

The house is roomy, comfortable, and clean. The beach is all sand, no rocks, and extends over 100 yards at low tide. We had 10 adults - lots of space for everyone. Luis sent someone in minutes to light the pilot when we discovered there was no hot water. We had a wonderful, relaxing looking weekend.

weekend getaway

beautiful home, could have be cleaned better, the outside shower drain was plugged and the shower was full of green stagnant water. there was a pot of mashed potatoes left in the refrigerator and the the refrigerator needed to be cleaned. bottle of sunscreen left under the master bed. outside had a lot of trash just off the patio and the trash can was overflowing with trash and left all weekend. better cleaning and this place would be beautiful

Beautiful Property - Maintenance Issues

The home was more beautiful than the pictures. The second floor is a deck. The first floor has all the living spaces. The Casita is off from the courtyard. We loved the property. We came down with 6 kids and 6 adults. The beach was perfect and we went through two separate guarded gates to get to the property. It was clean and inviting. The casita has a separate entrance to the beach and courtyard with a full kitchen and bath. The casita lacked kitchen supplies. But the main house had plenty of supplies. We go to Rocky Point 1-2 times a year and this property isn’t maintained like the rocky point standard. There wasn’t many towels (we brought our own, but something to note), we had no propane the second day we were there so we couldn’t cook the lunch we brought and I had to call the property manager, we had to go and buy toilet paper (there was only 2-3 rolls per bathroom for 12 people for 4 days), dish soap, hand soap, trash bags (there was only a few) and sponges for the dishes. The sliding door to the beach didn’t work so we had to use the one through the master bedroom. The property manager said he would send someone to fix it and they didn’t show and he didn’t follow up. The front door to the casita had a broken lock. So we put a broom in the way to “lock” it. None of the TVs have working channels or didn’t work at all. I had to reach out multiple times to get check in instructions. The drapes in the main room where held up by shopping tape. There was no information at the home to help with the stay (which is typical). So there was lots of wondering of what to do at check out, where to put trash, what do we need to clean when we depart, etc. We absolutely loved the layout of the home, the location and the home as a whole. But the maintaining of the property is very poorly done.
