Comfortable place

It was great to stay in Sherman Hill. We went to dinner at the Wallace House and had a great experience. The apartment was nice - quite adequate - and close to downtown and the activities we were engaged in.

Great rental

This rental was perfect for us. It was close to an awesome coffee shop and easy access to major roadways. The apt was clean & tidy.

First VRBO experience was good

Great little apartment! Older building with renovated apartments tucked away on the outskirts of town. Very clean with contemporary decor. The photos for the listing we booked we're exact but very very close. We were somewhat confused with the check in process. We received no communication the day before or of check in and had to contact the landlord. He did respond immediately though. We were disappointed that the only thing really within walking distance was a coffee shop. We expected, from having read, that there was a variety of restaurants, pubs/bars, markets etc very close within a block or two. That was not the case. But the apt was next to an interstate so that was super easy access. VRBO app wasn't helpful at all for anything. Overall we did enjoy our first VRBO experience and will look into it again to try other places when we travel.

This is a nice place to stay. Great little one bedroom apt for less money than even a cheap motel. Coffee, microwave and popcorn, small ironing board and iron. MediaCom, two TVs, nice couch and furniture. Super easy to get to.

Graduation weekend

The apartment was very clean, well appointed, comfortable, and located within a short walk of a coffee house. Also a small grocer, some beautiful historic houses and apartments. Very close to downtown, plenty of good restaurants and bars, craft beer , great food, I would definitely stay again. Steve was very responsive and helpful. Easy access to 235.

Perfect location

I cannot emphasize how perfect the location was. It was not in downtown, but so close that all of the activities I did were less than a mile away and that was a pretty cheap Lyft/Uber so I didn't have to worry about parking fees and such. The apartment itself was clean, up-to-date, and everything was set up to make our stay comfortable and leisurely.

Clean and convenient to downtown Des Moines

We spent five nights here and it worked out great for us. We were visiting family in Grimes and also attending the the Iowa State Fair among a couple other things. It's convenient to I-235. The apartment worked out for 3 adults just fine and was clean and comfortable. The pricing was much less than hotels in the area so this was a win for us. We would stay here again in the future.

Very nice place. The apartment is right next to the front door for easy access. A nice little kitchen. Would be fun to stay here for a week. Comfortable bed. Small but clean and adequate bathroom. Very good location. Home away and Expedia said it’s for 4. Just one nice queen bed and a couch that is okay for sleeping. Just be sure to ask for bedding ahead of time if someone is going to sleep on the couch. All clean and neat with nice big windows and 2 TVs, air conditioning units and an electric fireplace
