Moreno's Cottages are a pleasant series of little cabins between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. My brother and I stayed in #7. There were two twin beds, a nook and a small, separate kitchen area. It was rustic, but modern enough to feel like you had a place to relax after a hike. We did have some problems getting in, but Todd was super accommodating and had backup codes for us to use. There are picnic benches and grills behind the house in the open area. The property is easily accessible off the main road, Route 86. If you need anything last minute, there's a Sunoco market behind a tall fence 150 feet from the property. It definitely does the job if you want something simple and comfortable that gives you the feeling you're in the Adirondacks.

The best cottages I have stayed in.
The place his a hidden jewel. The place is well maintained, and up to day. The owners are nice, and helpful with finding places to hike or eat. I can’t say enough how nice it is. I will stay again, when we are in the area. And you can’t beat the price. I highly recommend staying here.

Great Cabin, Excellent Location
The cabin was exactly what I was hoping for - small and cozy, with everything you could ask for. And the owners - Joyce and David - were extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent location, great place.

Fantastic place to stay!
So glad we came across this gem! Tucked in a quiet off shoot of 86, but within walking distance of a gas/convenience store. The cabin we had was a one bedroom, and super clean, and contained everything we needed (and more!).
We met the owners, who were lovely, and very knowledgeable of the area and helped suggest some things to spend time on when in the area.
Because of the central location, to Lake Placid and others, it's a great hub for travelers.
We will be staying here again!

We are tucked away in the tall pines at the edge of the Adirondack Wild Forest, a old-world camp style cabin property rarely found today! The cottages have been refurbished and modernized from the original 1920's construction, but still maintain the rustic Adirondack feel. It is a quiet, camp like setting perfect for launching local outdoor adventures, access to two villages with world-class restaurants, shopping and Olympic attractions, and relaxing with friends and family away from the hustle and bustle. We offer 9 different cabins on the property. Please do see our other listings under Moreno's Cottages #2 - 10 on VRBO. We offer 1 bed / 1 bath and 2 bed / 2 bath cabins, one of which is year round. If you do not see your dates available, or wish for a slightly different cabin (each one is unique!) or more space, please do check our other listings!
