We rented this beautiful house on Albina for a women’s retreat, and it was perfect for our group. It’s in such a cool part of Portland, close to Mississippi Avenue, and everyone loved the location and the layout of the house. It gave us a wonderful place to gather, relax, and simply enjoy being together. Our host was fantastic. Her communication was excellent, and she left so many thoughtful goodies for us. Our guests raved about the house all weekend. It was just the place for these amazing women to come to Portland and have some nurturing time together. We’re so grateful we found it!The layout was spacious and there were so many cozy places to hang together both indoors and out.

My friends and I had an amazing three night stay here. We had a group of eight and we rented out both houses. We spent more time in the rear house which has the bigger living/kitchen area. This worked out well as we had plenty of space to hang out together, but also to chill separately when we needed to. I had great communication with Michelle throughout the entire process, and she was very quick to respond whenever I had any questions or requests. The houses themselves are well maintained and in a a perfect location. So many restaurants and activities within in a walkable distance or a short car ride away.I could not recommend staying here more highly.

We stayed at this property as a retreat-type trip. It had a great space for hanging out as a group indoors and outdoors as well as enough bedrooms to find a quiet space. The neighborhood was great, walkable restaurants and coffee spots.

So happy the houses worked well for your retreat! When we were designing the layout of the houses we aimed to make large open spaces for groups to be in as well as smaller intimate spaces for a few people to connect in. It was fun to think about how all of that would be handy for groups. Please come back and stay with us again!

Fantastic review! We love catering to large groups as we know how hard it is to find places to gather. When we began the company we knew the locations had to be in the heart of Portland's unique neighborhoods. We know how key walking to visit shops, dine and bars is, so both of our locations are ideal and simple strolls to all the fun!

Party of 11 in town for our daughter's senior college year showcase. Property is exceptional. TWO separate homes each with fully stocked kitchen. Spotless kitchen and bath areas. Walkable neighborhood with coffee shops and restaurants... the burrito/taco next door was exceptional. VERY convenient to highway. INCREDIBLE communication and flexible assistance from the hosts. Only item our party notices was some smells of dampness in a few areas of the property. If you live or travel to NW (rainforest in US, this is common. Opened windows and aired areas out to resolve. HIGHLY recommend.

Great setup, great location!

These units were a great option for our "Big Family" reunion! The configuration of bedrooms, common areas, and amenities worked out great for us - our group of 13 adults and 4 kids aged 3-68 were all quite comfortable! Walking distance to lots of things with options for all - playgrounds to breweries!

A big family reunion spanning the ages is exactly how we always saw the houses being used. With larger space for all to be in together and little private spots for smaller intimate gatherings. So happy you enjoyed the set up and the wonderful benefits of the neighborhood.

We are a husband and wife team who love to travel, mostly on bicycles, and love designing houses. We put both of those passions together with the two businesses we own. Encircle Design and Build is our home remodeling side, where we mainly focus on kitchens, bathrooms, and whole house remodels. We started Shift Vacation Rentals with our duplex on Alberta Street. When we were getting married we looked for a house that could accommodate all of our family members and couldn't find anything. This experience sprouted our idea to create well-designed, modern, artistic lodging for people coming to Portland in our favorite neighborhoods. We adore Portland and think its, if not the, then one of the best cities in the USA. We are excited to share our home and neighborhood with you as it offers so much. In the house there is a list of recommendations of what to do and see in PDX!
