We had a very difficult time sleeping in this apartment because the smoke alarms awakened us each morning at 5 am due to batteries dying in the units. We personally replaced the ones we could reach without a ladder, but the owner didn't send someone to help. She informed us that the smoke alarm units were working perfectly, but they continued to go off each morning waking up the entire household. While I realize that these things can happen, and I didn't blame anyone at first, I was most disappointed with the owner/manager's willingness to help us out. I have actually never written a bad review, and this place is great in other ways, but the communication was just awful. I felt like I was bothering her and she just wouldn't believe that we were having an issue. I would have changed all of the units if I could have safely reached them. The ceilings are very high in the bedrooms, and I couldn't locate a ladder. At one point, on the third day of complaining, she texted me that the maintenance guy was on his way at 8:00 am, so I waited in the apartment for an hour and a half, missing breakfast with family, but he never showed up. I messaged her to say that I needed to leave and she said he would let himself in to change the batteries. When I returned shortly after, he still wasn't there, but she reported that he had already come and changed all of the batteries. Yet, they alarmed again early the next morning. I don't think he ever came. Now that I have researched other reviews of Molly on various sites, I am sure that she made the whole thing up and never sent anyone to fix the alarms.
Aside from this, the place was clean and the location is absolutely superb..that's the reason for the 2 stars. There were not very many supplies in the kitchen, but we didn't cook. Could not locate a wine bottle opener when we needed it.
If you choose to stay here, be aware that you will have issues.
Make sure you communicate clearly and demand a quick and thorough response rather than waiting it out and assuming help is on the way.
