First, the cabin/house is beautiful, roomy and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked for any type of cooking you do. Clean and comfortable. Home away from home. They do need to stock the house better with supplies like coffee filters, paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags. We had to wait until the renter was back home from working (midnight) to get replenished with this stuff. Fire pit area is big and well stocked with wood and chairs. HOWEVER, what is not disclosed about this property is 1) Someone lives in the basement, so it's not private. 2) There is another cabin on the property that is close to the lake that you have to share anything that is advertised as available to you. 3) The gradual slope to the lake is a very long slope, the house is not close to the lake at all. The beach is small, and weedy and not taken well care of. We raked the beach ourselves and just piled the stuff up along the shoreline. Saturday morning, they start mowing the lawn while we are there, our lawn games and campfire stuff all sitting out. Then they proceed to use the tractor to dig up a low spot in the yard between the house and lake. (This should be done between rentals) I thought I was paying for a nice, relaxing, private, family get together, and it ended up being one disappointment after another. I spoke with Ron, who is extremely nice, he did comp some of the pontoon rental for "nondisclosure" of the shared beach. I rent from VRBO almost every year and this was the most expensive and the most frustrating rental. I don't like to be so negative because people are sharing their homes, but honestly, this was not an inexpensive rental, I paid for my extra people, and feel that the description of the property purposely did not disclose a lot of this because they know it may prevent some rentals.
