Cape Home Great for Families - Walk to Beach

The house has 3 bedrooms on the main floor, each with a super comfortable queen size bed . Two of the rooms have ceiling fans and each room has an AC unit installed during the summer.

Downstairs stays quite cool. There is a room with one twin bed and one double bed, a full bathroom, and a room with a sofa-bed. The washer & dryer are downstairs as well.

The main floor is handicap accessible, and also has a large living room, a dining room set, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom.

Finally, we have a small charcoal grill, a big lobster pot and lawn/patio furniture ideal for eating outside.

This cottage has been our family homestead for decades, and we are happy to share it with you!

Maravista Avenue is on a peninsula bordered by two lakes and the ocean. You will be a short drive or bike ride from Falmouth's charming downtown, the Falmouth Heights, the Island Queen ferry for trips to Martha's Vineyard, a movie theater, and much more!

* Falmouth Hospital is 10 minutes by car and 20 minutes by bike.

** Woods Hole Marine Biology Laboratory (MBL) is just 15 minutes by car and 35 minutes by bike.

*** Winter rentals (lasting more than one month) will be expected to cover the monthly utility costs (ie: electricity, gas, TV/Internet, and water) in exchange for a hugely discounted rate.

Great stay in peaceful location

We had a great experience in this property! The area around it is particularly nice, very walkable and only a few minutes from the beach. Everything you could need is a few minutes away by car, and although we didn't I bet you could easily walk to a few nearby stores as well. Pretty quiet at night outside as well. The house itself was clean and well-stocked. There were a few things we went to pick up at the store, so I'd recommend doing an initial sweep to see if there's any basics you want to grab when you get there (we ended up getting some paper towels and olive oil for cooking, for example). The kitchen has a great array of spices and there's a good selection of cookware as well. Sleeping areas were generally comfortable! One of the beds downstairs was a little firmer if you have someone who prefers that. They all had mattress protectors, which was a nice touch for everyone's peace of mind while traveling. Water pressure was good in the showers as well. Full marks to the hosts - they were always very responsive and available both before and during the trip. Check in and check out were stress-free experiences. Thanks again to them, and definitely recommend this place to stay!

Teaticket area home

We stayed here for a wedding, and it was raining, so didn't really get to enjoy the outside. Kitchen was very well stocked, except for no icemaker or trays to make ice. Very cute neighborhood, with just a quick walk to a beach or to the long pond.. Only a short drive to shopping and Main St tourist area. Excellent parking off the side street. Great water pressure in the showers! Comfy beds. Great communication with the host.
