The house is as it looks in the photos. Impeccably clean and well maintained, it has everything you need including beach towels, chairs, spices, books, puzzles, and a well stocked kitchen. Beds are very comfortable and have great linens. So many little touches that made our stay like staying in a five star resort.
We picked fresh mangoes from the trees and had fresh eggs every morning in a basket on our front porch laid by one of the chickens on property.
The house is in a great location if you are looking for more laid back Maui. It is about 45 minutes from the “tourist area” of Lahaina and Kaanapali. It is right near Ho’okipa and the town of Paia, a laid back beach town. It is in a quiet neighborhood, which was great coming home to. No crowds. We travelled to the beaches on the South shore like Kihea and Wailea when the winds were high on the North shore and they were only about 25 minutes. Whole Foods, a brand new huge Safeway and Walmart are about 20 minutes. A great natural foods market, Mana, in Paia, was only ten minutes. We made many trips to Mana!
There is no air conditioning but the breezes through the many windows were enough most nights, but there was a heat spell when we were there.
Kanza, the property owner, lives on property and was available and very responsive (even when i asked for gloves to gut a fresh fish!).
We had an incredibly enjoyable time and hope to return. I highly recommend this house.
