We met up for Thanksgiving and had a great time. Lots to do around the area. Tons of stuff within a 30 min. drive.

We had a great stay! The house is gorgeous and it was so nice relaxing on the porch with coffee and the view of the monutains or by the fireplace in the evening. Our pups loved the house too and being cozy by the fire. Great location and only 5 minutes to everything in Black Mountain and 20minutes to downtown Asheville.

Beautiful home, well maintained, stocked for an army and plenty of space to spread out and the right space to be together...close to town...close to mountains...perfect for a 3-generation family trip. The host was a great communicator and provided all the details we needed.

Property was not in best condition and not well kept. There were few basic items, such as soap, shampoo, garbage bags, etc. Location and house size were good for our group.

Driveway is very sloped. My van’s wheels skied. It would be a little scary for a new driver. Apple map helped me to drive in/out from the property. Overall, great place to stay .

Property and location are beautiful.The house is very well stocked- we had everything we could possibly need plus some. The owner was very easy to communicate with and thorough in the information she provides. Our whole group had a great time.

Family Get Together

We enjoyed our stay, and the home fit our needs perfectly.My family had done their due diligence regarding the area and mountain drive. We were able to venture out and visit nearby towns and attractions as well as hike the local mountain trails and rivers. We were all excited to see mama bears and their cubs, dear, turkeys and their baby poults, lots of cardinals, blue birds and squirrels.We enjoyed the afternoon thunderstorms and rain showers

Gorgeous views

We actually stayed at their other property because beyond the owner's control, tepair of the driveway was delayed. My review is of their property that has a pool table. Overall the place we stayed is nice with plenty of space and nice amenities. There are quite a few places where it shows some wear and tear that could use attention, but it was very clean, spacious and had gorgeous views all day. The showers are narrow and not well suited to larger folks. If you have more than a few cars, as mentioned, will need to work out parking. Very steep driveway. If you arrive after dark be aware it is hard to see the house signs in the neighborhood, but the speed limit is low anyway. Neighborhood was very quiet and good for a peaceful getaway. Our group was there to help with home repair from Helene. Good lacation to everything.

The Chalet was perfect for our family to gather and spend quality time together. The atmosphere was very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed to create wonderful meals and memories! I especially liked the details that went into everything about this space. I have found that most places that sleep over 10 don’t have enough seating but this place sure did. It worked perfectly for us. I totally recommend this chalet for elating and memory making family vacations!!

Family gathering for son’s wedding

Our son’s wedding in Marion brought family together from California, Indiana, Seattle, and Canada. We found this home to fit our group of 13. The spacious dining area and multiple living room spaces were great for watching movies, playing games and having meals together. If we had more time, we would have used the hot tub! The host is very responsive, and we appreciated Kelley’s communication. Wonderful stay that we will always remember!

Spring Break

We have taken the opportunity to bring our families together in the past. This year we settled on Black Mountain area. Easily the most relaxing thus far. The Chalet was clean and well stocked. Kelley was extremely helpful and responsive. Sonya was awesome to work with as well.

LTU Men’s Lacrosse

Lawrence Tech Men’s Lacrosse traveled south during Spring Break to play games against opponents in Georgia and North Carolina. The property was exactly what we were looking for! Plenty of bed space and large rooms to gather in. Checking in and out was a breeze and the property manager, Kelley, communicated everything we needed to know. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Roomy Mountain Rental

We (a party of 14, ages ranging from 10 to 86 years old) enjoyed our NYE stay on Black Mountain. Place was super clean and so roomy! Kitchens had everything we needed. Kelley was a great host and answered all our questions before and while we were there! My parents are still talking about how perfect the house was! I will say the driveway is very steep. Most of the vehicles were unable to make the climb up the drive. Luckily the road isn't busy so we parked below and walked up. Unfortunately tho a couple of our older family members stayed in the home most of the time because of the challenges of climbing it. Hot tub was enjoyed but the deck encompasses it had splintered wood so careful your feet. We even had a nice snow storm the day before we left. Beautiful but drive down and out the next day was a little daunting! Thanks Kelley for some awesome family memories!

Perfect place for large famiky gathering

The property was set in a beautiful location and was the perfect place to celebrate a special family birthday! Thoughtful appointments throughout including multiple appliances making it a to cook meals for lots of folks! great place Excellent proximity to popular sights! We loved our stay and appreciated the quick communication by the host! We were also grateful that our host communicating clearly about the devastation caused by hurricane Helene allowing us to make an informed decision! in the end we were grateful for to be able to support tourism in a much needed area and all the townspeople were incredibly grateful that we have continued on with our trip! The driveway is steep but that information was also well stated before we booked!

Great place for large families

Kelley was very helpful and kept us informed following Hurricane Helene. Although the devastation suffered in the area was painfully apparent, the home was a nice retreat. It is convenient to Asheville and we took advantage of its proximity.Thank you,Kelley!
