The house feels like a home, its very well designed with an eye for detail (everything from cushions to couches, to bar stools), great hot showers, a bath (a plus a for daddy & baby bath time), spacious & supercomfy bedrooms & fantastic modern kitchen that was a pleasure to use.
We had a big party with us & with friends on the Island we were easily 6-10 people at any one time, including our astonishing 8month daughter (& yes, great cot). The open kitchen, large & high ceiling living room were perfect for entertaining & cooking numerous meals - from Taco Tuesday, to cajon stews, to pizzas, to steaks on the BBQ outside... We spent most of the time in this part of the house that opens up the lanai, with panaromic views of the ocean.
Saw plenty of whales breaching, stunning sunsets & for the avian lovers - there are some beautiful birds in red & black tuxs, hues of yellow & white herons.
Some other highlights included:
Hanging out in the hottub at night & watching the night sky along with its cloack of stars. For us city folk, pure magic & bliss whilst sipping on some whiksy sours
Great little stretch of soft green grass, that we used for some training, playing & walking with the little one.
The biggest binoculars I have ever seen, which made the lifestsyle watching that much easier.
Plenty of equipment for beach & pool use.
Again, just taken aback by the overal high taste & quality in the design & outfitting of the home. Top shelf work.
Great washer dryers, imperative when u got a little one with you!
Amazing entertainment set-up: we watched everythign from NBA games on cable, to signing in on apple TV, to Netflix movies - all set-up very intuitively.
Shuters that go down when the afternoon sun gets too hot
The two master bedrooms with views of the ocean
Plenty of rooms in the Showers.
Just great couch & lounging area, again was perfect for the little one
Plenty of sun
Very well kept grounds
Fantastic running paths across the ranch enclosure. Try the run up to the mountain, its c. 6miles & over 2,500 feet of elevation where you literally see the terrain & ecosystem change before your eyes... one of the coolest runs I have ever done. Also one of the slowest 6miles I have ever run :) It more like a grind up.... also very walkable...
Cons
Plenty of Sun, the family loves The Sun.... personally I prefer a bit more variety & landscape that is greenery
