Our family of three generations travelled for an anniversary and were not disappointed with the Blue Lagoon in any respect. Pool was used nonstop. We also used the association private beach as well as a few public beaches in the area. Snorkeling, manta rays, many activities to keep all ages busy. Plenty of food choices including a luau just down the road. Toured the whole island, including the volcano. Thank you our hosts Julie and Alan!!

This home was spectacular! We came with 13 family members (Grandma, 2 siblings/spouses and 4 adult grandchildren with their significant others) to commemorate the life of our Dad/Grandpa and it happened to fall on one of the grandkid’s 26th bday. The amenities and attention to detail make you feel like you are staying at a 5 star resort, but you have it all to yourselves! Alan and Julie were amazing hosts. Julie was extremely responsive to every request and need. We were greeted with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, incredible fruit and chocolates board and bottle of champagne. They even dropped off a beautiful cake and special bottle of wine on our daughter’s birthday, all the while ensuring that we felt the property was all ours to enjoy. The pool/hot tub and entire backyard were perfect. They made it hard to leave, but when we did, the Mauna Lani Beach Club, golf course and shops were all only a few minutes away via the provided golf cart! (We also rented a second 4 passenger golf cart—we used both multiple times a day). The living area and kitchen are open and palatial. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and well appointed decor. We highly recommend treating yourself to a stay at The Blue Lagoon at Mauna Lani Resort!

Blue Lagoon Perfection

Our stay at the Blue Lagoon was perfect from check in to check out. The hosts were so responsive and helpful. The house was gorgeous and impeccably clean with plenty of space for our large group. Pool/spa temperatures at some VRBOs can be disappointing, but not at the Blue Lagoon. The pool was just the right temperature and the spa was warm and relaxing in the evenings. We cannot say enough good things about the hosts and the home! Highly recommend.

Wonderful Family Reunion

We had an awesome week with our 5 grown kids and grandkids who came from NY, WA and UT. The house was great for our group....wonderful big kitchen that had everything you needed, big bedrooms where Julie added extra cots for kids, the home theater where we watched sports/movies at night, a great pool where we all swam every day, golf cart for getting around. Perfect location for golf, beach, snorkeling, grocery store and shops!! Best family vacation ever!!!

Amazing Family Vacation

Our family of 16 just had an amazing 8 night vacation at the Blue Lagoon residence. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The owners were amazing and responded immediately to the few questions or issues we had. The property is exactly how it was pictured, beautiful. More than enough room for our entire family. The movie theatre was a hit and used often at night. The backyard was a true oasis and we spent many hours enjoying the pool. Access the the beach club was a nice benefit and we went several times. The owners recommended The Outrageous Gourmet for our catering needs and they were the best. Will use them again.We can't wait to visit Blue Lagoon in the future. Thank you Julie and Alan for a memorable vacation.

Blue Lagoon Paradise

We traveled to the Big Island with family and friends to celebrate a very special family birthday, and staying here made it even more special. Paul and Wendee were great to work with—prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful from the planning stages through our stay. I highly recommend this property to everyone. Perfect Family Getaway

This place is exactly as it appears in the photos. Kitchen is huge for congregating, pool and spa are both great. Paul and Wendee were very easily reached and communicated timely and clear directions. The whole family had there own space and it worked well.

2 families with 10 people Had a great time at this property. We loved watching a movies at night in the gigantic theater!! Paul was great to deal with. Would definitely come back

Family Reunion Extraordinaire

We had a wonderful stay at the Blue Lagoon! It was the ideal setting for our family reunion including three generations (ages 5-70). The kitchen is well stocked and well suited for a large meal. The floor plan provided a nice balance of privacy and community (with fabulous common spaces including the amazing pool area). We already miss feeding the koi! It exceeded our expectations.

Blue Lagoon

We stayed at the Blue Lagoon in May 2023. We were there to celebrate four milestone birthdays with family. The house was the perfect location for our gathering. We particularly loved the large kitchen and dining area - perfect for hanging out. The theater room is also a plus. The property manager was extremely responsive and easy to deal with. It's a wonderful place - I would recommend it highly.

Couldn't be more perfect!

We came from boston and rented this property so we could have all our children and grandchildren in one place to bring my brothers remain back to hawaii for interment. This property was the perfect place to hold the celebration of life for all his friends and former employees from hawaii. Everything about the property was as advertised!! If you're looking for a beautiful place to have your entire family then this is it!

Well stocked kitchen.

This is a very nice large home with lots of space for families or groups. I was very surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was with spices, plastic wrap, dishes and pots and pans. I have rented many other places where the kitchen supplies are very little to none. We left our extra supplies for the next renter. We were a little farther to the beach than we thought but it worked out with the golf cart.

The Perfect Stay at Blue Lagoon!

From the moment we walked into the Blue Lagoon at Mauna Lani, I knew we made the right choice. We booked the property to host corporate guests, and the estate quickly became the star of the show. Guests were blown away by the property, taking pictures and soaking up the luxurious, relaxing environment the Blue Lagoon offers. Guests were so taken by the estate, many chose to relax there, instead of at their off-site accommodations.The house itself was immaculate and as advertised - the huge kitchen was a treat, and the 7 bedrooms meant we always had ample space for any occasion. The house was also full of all the amenities you could need for hosting, or enjoying the estate on your own. The pool/outdoor area was paradise.On top of that, Julie and Alan were the perfect hosts, always a text away and extremely quick to help with anything from setting up the home theatre projector to helping with light switches.Thank you Julie and Alan for making our stay exactly what we wanted, to amaze our guests with the beauty, relaxation and luxury that Hawaii has to offer!

Does not get any better!

This massive house in the best area in all of Hawaii- was a blessing to my family. There were 13 of us- Ages spanned form -"old surfers" like me- to our 2 month old grandson. Our family has been blessed to have traveled to the Hawaiian islands for many years. This house on the Big Island is incredible. It has massive space for everyone to spread out. The kitchen is commercial grade and is fully stocked. We have never had such a luxurious kitchen or house for that matter. The location is perfect. Turn one way to the private beach club or turn the other to the local shops. We took full advantage of all the opportunities- We worked out in the club, went to the restaurants and spent a great deal of time on the private beach. The beach is perfect for young kids and is really good snorkeling. The big time boogie boarding and surfing is 4 miles away on Hapuna. Alan and Julie are your hosts. They met our family when we arrived from Colorado and showed us around the house. Alan was the builder on the home and it was an honor to have him show us around. Julie is his beautiful wife and could not of been any kinder. We intend to come back as many times as the good Lord allows. Mahalo!

Highly Recommend!

Our family of 18 just returned from 8 days @ Blue Lagoon, and the next door property Blue Oasis (same owner). We were there to celebrate Grandma's birthday, and had ages ranging from 16-85. Blue Lagoon is everything the website states - and more. We did most of the cooking and eating for our large party at this property. The kitchen is amazing - fully stocked for large groups.;3 dishwashers, 3 sinks, 3 different coffee makers, every possible pot/pam/bowl/utensil/ appliance you could want - all neatly stored in labeled drawers. We did hit Costco and the Waikoloa Village market when we landed - but both houses had "starter" supplies like trash bags, dish soap, etc. The pictures on the website don't do justice to how nice this house is. The bedrooms are all large - and all but 2 have private en-suite bathrooms. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were in both houses, and the linens and towels are top-of-the-line. We spent most of our days either at a beach, or sailing, fishing, etc. (We would highly recommend Kohala ziplining, and the Mauna Lani Beach Snorkel Sail.) Each of these houses came stocked with plenty of beach chairs, snorkel equipment, boogie boards, and beach towels. And both have a pool and Jacuzzi, however, the Blue Lagoon pool is larger so we did most of our swimming there. We took full advantage of the outdoor gas grills and Blue Lagoon has plenty of chaise lounges, and seating options for a large group. We never felt crowded. The theater room is an extra treat - although we didn't take advantage of it enough. But if you hit unpleasant weather, it would be a bonus. The golf cart worked well for us. Even though we had 4 large cars between us, it was nice if just a few people wanted to run to the local marketplace (Shops @ Mauna Lani) or to the Beach Club. The owner Paul, and property manager Wendee were so easy to work with, communicated promptly, and the entire booking/payment process was seamless. We happened to hit a couple days of "vog" from the volcano, a large brush fire, and the beginnings of Hurricane Hector. Yet - we still enjoyed every outdoor activity we had planned, and definitely did not want to leave. We have stayed in VRBO homes many times, and we all said that Blue Lagoon was the most well-kept, and well-stocked of anywhere we've been. We would absolutely stay again in both these beautiful homes, and recommend them without hesitation.

We have rented many vacation homes and this was the best by far with plenty of room for a large group, private spaces, and absolutely LOVELY furnishings. No detail was missed to make the house comfortable. The hosts are delightful and diligent.
