Picture perfect!

We absolutely loved our stay at Walton’s Mountain Lodge. My large family all got together for a reunion and have nothing but great things to say about this property. Everything was as advertised, the host was incredibly responsive to my 1000 questions and the location was perfect for my adventurous family. The kitchen was very well stocked with serve ware, spices, and appliances. The check in and check out process was easy. The host even mailed a priceless blanket made by my late mother that was left behind back to its proper home. Highly recommend this property!

Bridge weekend

This was our 23rd year of going to the Walton's. That should tell you something. We do need one new bridge table as one of the tables has unsteady legs. Thank you Waltons.

Stayed for my wedding!

My now husband and I stayed with our bridal party for our wedding, and booked out both the lodge and cottage. Plenty of room and had a blast!!

Amazing property!

Our family stayed at this property with ample room to spread out. We loved our stay at this beauty cabin and found its location to Manitou very accessible. Manager was great to work with.

Gorgeous location

We visited for a work retreat and the Walton Lodge was perfect for us. We enjoyed the scenery, got some work done, and enjoyed the hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped. We wish we were staying longer!

Fantastic Family Reunion!

It is a great property, very comfortable, well-equipped, lots of space for eating and general seating. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub- which is actually hot! The seven private bedrooms and two bunk rooms were perfect for our family. We had plenty of linens, pillows, blankets, etc.. Everyone in our family would like a future stay!

Great spot for the whole family!

This was the perfect spot for our extended family to get together for the weekend! Beautiful scenery and the house was extremely well stocked and clean. We are looking forward to hopefully returning in the future!

Great for a big family

The lodge was close to town, but still secluded. Easy to find, easy check in and big enough for my family of 21! Pretty clean but the carpets couple use a good cleaning. Overall, our stay was great. Very close to many attractions!

We enjoyed our time at Walton’s mountain. The house was very well stocked with all you need in the kitchen. The hot tub was nice. We especially enjoyed watching the bears in the trash can…. Hat was a high lite!

House Review

This house was wonderful. The kitchen was perfect. We had a large group. There was everything avaliable that we needed. The main floor was perfect for gathering everyone together. The only unexpected thing was the basement. It had a slight septic smell. And one of the bunkbeds. Did not appear to be clean.

Great stay

We are a hiking group, thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Walton's lodge. It's located approximately 1.2 miles from the start of the incline, Barr trailhead and cog rail. There were 9 of us who stayed in the lodge and it was comfortable for all of us. We will definitely be back

Our family has enjoyed Waltons Mountain Lodge for many years. The owner and his family live in Arizona. His children are grown with their own families now, but we all continue to visit the mountain and stay at the Lodge for a few weeks each summer. When you send questions, inquiries and booking messages in the VRBO app, you are communicating with Caitlin who currently lives in Arizona with her husband and two children.

Our property provides a unique experience to those looking to visit the area due to its location on nearly 100 acres of private property. This gives our guests plenty of privacy and security while also being located just minutes away from downtown Manitou Springs. Both our Lodge and Cottage provide a feeling of being secluded in the mountains of Manitou Springs allowing for our guests to spend their days down in the city, and when that becomes too much, they have the option to retreat back up the hill to the privacy and quiet of the foothills. In addition to the Lodge and Cottage, there are three other homes on the mountain. Please drive slowly and carefully through the narrow streets in the neighborhood up the mountain road.

We love our property because it sits on nearly 100 acres of private property. You may see zip liners behind the Lodge, other cars belonging to the three other houses on the mountain and some trucks that use the city water road that is on our land. You will see and enjoy wildlife on the mountain. Deer, foxes, mountain lions and bears! PLEASE BE BEAR AWARE and know what to do if you come across a bear or mountain lion while hiking on our property. Please lock up the dumpster as this helps us keep the bears away!
