I was looking for somewhere in Southern California near the beach to get away from the AZ heat for a few days. This was a great landing spot to be able to get to various beaches during our stay! (On the downside, the beach closest & in walking distance was a bit too rocky for the kids to play in the water.) The property is well kept and clean and the owners are quick to respond should you need anything. San Clemente is a great little spot with great restaurants and shops!

Great place!

Overall we had a really great stay. Its a short walk to the beach or a short drive to downtown. The unit is part of a double unit so you might have to fight for beach umbrellas and chairs if the others are not thoughtful or if they are not part of your party. The unit was clean, super clean and met all our needs. There was only two adults and one child, the size was perfect for us. We enjoyed getting up in the AM and drinking coffee on the patio, a perfect way to start our days.

Charming House in San Clemente

I stayed in the upstairs property, which had two balconies and was decorated with charming decor. The bungalow was stocked with everything you would need and more. The owner was available by text and phone and responded to all of my questions promptly. Although there is a garage to park one car, the area is very walkable, with stores, restaurants and a coffee shop very close by. The San Clemente train station and bike rentals are also @5-minute walk away. I had very pleasant and relaxing stay at this San Clemente house.

Great stay !!

Lovely stay with great communicationOur time at the property was lovely, and communication with the owners was one of the smoothest and most pleasant experiences I’ve had. They stayed in touch and were kind enough to accommodate a last-minute booking request , which I really appreciated.The house was exactly as listed and a good size for a couple or two friends for sure. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed and a smart TV in the living room. Just a heads-up for future guests: the bedroom has a regular TV with cable, not a smart TV from what we could tell. The house was clean upon arrival, and the water pressure of bathroom was excellent — which I’ve found to be hit or miss at other places, so that was a nice surprise.The outdoor seating area facing the street was a great spot to enjoy a morning coffee, relax, or get some sun. One note: due to the location (with one side of the property facing a main road and the other side near a busy alley), there was some early morning noise starting around 7 a.m. This may have been seasonal, related to summer or local activity.The AC worked great, and I felt very secure with the pin code locks on the doors.Overall, a very good experience and I’d definitely stay again!

Fantastic place for a relaxing getaway

The property was very clean and exactly what I was looking for. A couple blocks from the beach, this converted space is perfect for a single, like myself, a couple, or a couple with a tag along. The location was great, and the rental really did have everything one would need. Although I didn’t use it, there’s a washer/dryer that I’m sure a small family or someone staying more than a few days would really appreciate. There are restaurants, coffee and liquor shops, and groceries nearby. It was a little drizzly when I stayed, so I spent some hours shopping at the Outlet Mall about a mile away - great place! The rental is very quiet, and I enjoyed using the outdoor areas for sipping coffee or a cocktail. There’s also a grill available for use, which is good to know for the future. I had a great time here, and I’ll definitely stay again should I visit the area in the future.

Going to San Clemente? Stay here!!!!!

We use VRBO quite a bit and have experienced a wide variety of lodging. First the bad news because it is so small. Tough to spot from the road when you first arrive. Get there in daylight. Now for the good news... great host always ready to help; super location; perfect for couple looking to get away for a few of days or more than a week; well furnished and supplied; front and back outdoor spaces are great; king size bed; good wifi connection; window AC is plenty given mild climate; coffee shop next door outstanding; could go on, but let's just say it was wonderful across the board. If you're headed to San Clemente, stay here!

Great loft close to beach, dining and downtown shopping.

Quiet 2nd floor area away from the main hustle and bustle of the beach. Outdoor patio areas were great for relaxing. Local shopping and beaches an easy 5 minutes away. This was a great 4-day change of pace for my wife and I.

Cozy, Clean and Good Location

We had a very nice time. The bungalow was clean and very close to the beach. It was also walking distance to downtown. It was equipped with everything we needed. My only complaint was since it is an older place, it had a "stuffy old house smell".

This place is SO DREAMY!!

I had THE BEST stay here!! I'm so sad that it's over. First off The house is so BEAUTIFUL and comfortable and it could not be in a better location! The beach is a short walk from the house and there is a great running trail next to the beach/train tracks that goes all the way down to the San Clemente Pier. The house itself is so dreamy. The patios are very cozy and relaxing, the perfect place to start and end your day. The house is decorated wonderfully it just feels really homey and fancy at the same time. The bed is super comfortable and there's a lot of closet space incase you are an overpacker like me. The owners are FANTASTIC, like absolutely FANTASTIC! They were super easy to get ahold of and I felt like they were very personable and made me feel very welcomed here. They are such great people! Overall it was one of the best places I've ever stayed. Very Clean, Welcoming & Centrally Located!

Amamzingly welcoming cottage that is Centrally Located and steps away from the Beach. The neighborhood is quaint and filled with locally owned restaurants and gastro pubs. (Delicious Foods and festive atmosphere). Walking distance to all sites and a two minute drive from the San Clement Outlet Shopping Center. The owner was very nice and made us feel special. We had coolers, beach chairs, and body boards available to us and all we had to do is get sunscreen! Beautifully Furnished and Very Clean!

We have lived in Southern California for years and love the small town feel San Clemente's 'little village by the sea' offers. It's the perfect mix of friendly and down-to-earth. Everyone who is fortunate enough to visit, will find amazing restaurants, tiny outdoor cafes, shopping, hiking, beautiful scenery - everything you'd want on a vacation. Unlike other places along the coast, San Clemente has an actual downtown (Del Mar Ave.), as well as world renowned surf spots!! (I learned to surf right down the street!) Old and young love it here and share a bond of pride for this little piece of Paradise! The beauty and heartfelt friendliness make this the perfect vacation stay. Once you arrive you never want to leave!!

Bought this 1928 building because the moment I stepped foot inside, I immediately connected with the peaceful and happy energy that envelops this space. I learned the previous owners remodeled it and when they weren't living there, they started renting it on VRBO. It is one of the first homes built in the village and one of only a few legal VRBO places available to rent in San Clemente's North Beach. I love the idea of continuing the legacy that the prior owners created and sharing this cheerful and special place with travelers who want very nice, clean, and safe accommodations that feel like home.

The garden apartment is Modern and clean! It is very unique and peaceful. You feel very safe and sequestered inside it's walls....... Our location is really great being so close to the beach, public transportation, new restaurants, THE NEW BEACH TRAIL, the 1933 CASINO AND OLE HANSON WEDDING VENUE, Ole Hanson public pool, the new San Clemente Outlets, the trailhead walking stairs/ trails. If you chose to skip a car, you could walk pretty much everywhere... We love it's charm. And the fact that it has all brand furnishings and appliances. New and VERY VERY CLEAN!!! You may speak to owner in regards to amenities and pets.
