Great location with great activities for the gods. We enjoyed our stay near Gatlinburg and the Smokey Mountains. Seeing bears in the morning was an added bonus.

We had an amazing stay at Sacred Mountain. The cabin was beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly located to enjoy both the Great Smoky Mountains and everything nearby. The hosts were incredibly responsive and made the entire experience seamless. We loved having so many great activities and places to explore, and it was always a pleasure coming back to the cabin to relax. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sacred Mountain Cabin. The description of the cabin was accurate and everything was in good working order. We enjoyed the privacy of having bedrooms on different levels and the flexible sleeping options. We brought our two small dogs and appreciated the gates on all decks and porches. There was parking for three mid-size cars, but if the other cabins are all full, it can be tight getting turned around. It was very close to a Food City grocery store and Gatlinburg trolley stops. Since we were from this region of Tennessee and only stayed for the weekend, we didn't get out into the National Park or downtown Gatlinburg (we had a few people that had mobility concerns), However, we enjoyed the frequent visits of black bears (a large adult bear maybe a female and a least one juvenile) so make sure to follow all bear related warnings. Our dogs are well mannered and never barked at the bears but we had to make sure that we had two people taking the dogs out for potty breaks to keep a look out. We would love to visit again!

What a beautiful cabin! Gated decks add an element of security, especially for any furry four legged family members who may be traveling with you, They wouldn’t stop the bears but seem to deter them some as they prefer strolling up on the neighboring cabin’s decks that have no barrier. Speaking of bears we saw them most days from the comfort of the deck. Charles is a phenomenal host! He will take care of you and is a pleasure to work with. The location is great. Just far enough away from the craziness of downtown Gatlinburg but close to everything. This home is the real deal.

We arrived at Sacred Cabin on Easter and were surprised to see a fun Easter themed welcome package including cupcakes to make! Such a fun way to start our trip! The cabin was super clean and all the essentials were provided and well organized. The views of the mountains were breathtaking and the nice thing about the setting was that, even though there were several cabins the porch and deck felt very private and secluded. We will definitely be back!!

Everything was perfect! Cabin was pristine. Plenty of activities for our family to enjoy at the cabin when we weren’t out exploring the area. Easy access to everything we needed. Nicely stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds with plenty of room in the bedrooms. Charlie was a great host and was so easy to work with. He made sure our stay was perfect -and it was!

Enjoying board games and the cocktail video game table is a way to pass the time when weather is not cooperative and is a favorite among our guests. The Serta Pedic firm mattresses throughout the premise with a memory foam topper is another key to a comfortable nights sleep and rest for our guests. There is one bedroom on the main floor with about 4 steps to get inside with a walk in shower. While not fully accessible, someone with a little mobility could use. The cabin was well maintained except 1 light over the lowest level shower. I really liked the wooden gates on every porch entrance to detour wildlife as there were bear and coyote daily seen on street. There were not many details left for guess work. The couple of downsides: you don’t get the door code until day of even if the email says you will get via separate email once paid. Knowing that I paid well in advance and not able to get response, it created unnecessary anxiety. Also, the upper level was so hot the first night (80) and didn’t cool off so we couldn’t sleep upstairs. Then, air was then freezing on the main and lower level to get the upstairs where it would cool off. The owner was able to do the thermostats from his phone so he was able to reduce the lower levels with the phone call about the upper split unit not working. Overall, I would definitely stay again. It is convenient to get there and right off east parkway. There were some steep hills so winter could be tricky.

Hello Sarah, Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’d like to clarify a few items regarding the cabin and your stay. There are two entrances to the cabin. The main-floor entrance has only three steps from the parking area, while the ground-floor entrance has just one step into the cabin. Of the 3 full baths two have walk-in showers with easy step-in access, while the third has a traditional tub-and-shower combination. We’re also glad you appreciated the wooden safety gates located throughout all three decks. We have found these to be especially helpful for families traveling with children or pets. Regarding the door code, we intentionally send access codes approximately 2–3 days prior to check-in. This helps ensure that important arrival information, particularly the door code, does not become lost among earlier reservation emails and property information. Your final payment was made well in advance, on July 7, but the door code is purposely provided closer to arrival. The information you referenced appears to have been generated by VRBO’s artificial-intelligence system and, unfortunately, is not accurate. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention so that I can notify VRBO that this information does not coincide with our rental agreement, property description, or communication templates. We also apologize for the one lightbulb that was out in the bathroom. Had this been mentioned during our phone conversation, I would have gladly had Housekeeping or Maintenance stop by to replace it. That bathroom is equipped with five lightbulbs, and we certainly would have addressed the issue promptly. Regarding the temperature, the inspection department may have adjusted the thermostat setting prior to your arrival. When you called, I was happy to walk you through the thermostat so you would not have to troubleshoot it yourself. At that time, the cabin temperature was 66°F with the thermostat set at 68°F. Lastly, I’d also like to clarify winter access to the property. Our resort and HOA privately own and maintain the roads. During winter weather, we have our own snowplow, as well as salting and sanding equipment, to help keep the resort roads maintained and accessible. We had a great trip and this cabin helped make it better! The location is great. It’s a short drive to the grocery store and to a park entrance at Greenbrier. We are a family of 4 so everyone had their own level in the cabin. The shuffle board game in the lower bedroom was a big hit. The kitchen was well stocked and the starter items were more than your typical rental. I love to cook so I think the gas grill was my favorite part as most cabins come with a dinky charcoal grill. You can tell the owners go above and beyond to make their cabin comfy for their guests. Charles was a breeze to work with as well!There are plenty of activities to do in the area. We went rafting on the pigeon river which was a blast. Drove to Asheville and saw the Biltmore Estate one day which I highly recommend if you’ve never been. Even my kids enjoyed it! We drove into the park multiple days and went exploring. The kids swam in the stream at greenbrier. We also went to the pirate dinner show and loved it. It’s expensive but worth it if you haven’t been before. I saw multiple bears from the living room couch. They walked through the area every day so make sure you follow all the rules/tips that are posted on the fridge. All in all it was a great trip, great cabin, and great memories. Well appointed, beautiful cabin 5 minutes from Galtinburg city proper. Everything you need to stay in and cook or grill, or close to go out for meals. Excellent cookware, knives, and plenty of plates, cups, coffee mugs, etc., everything that you will need. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms are clean with basics (towels, shampoo/conditioner/body wash) provided if needed. I liked the diary provided for guests to add their experience. There was clearly many happy visits by previous guests. I came from Indiana with my 91 YO mother and stepfather and were met at the cabin by my brother and sister-in-law from Savanah for a family reunion. It was a perfect location, (both cabin and Gatlinburg) to get together. We were visited each morning by black bears walking down our street. That was a highlight for us. The cabin provides many games, and there are TVs in each bedroom as well. There is a very nice hot tub. I have very happy memories of our time at the cabin. It made our reunion better because there were no issues to deal with during the week. I will definitely stay there again if I return to Gatlinburg.

Beautiful location

We enjoyed our stay at Sacred Mountain Cabin. The sofa in the living room sagged and wasn’t very comfortable but otherwise the facilities were great.

Charlie, who is a Certified Chef by trade Private Pilot and also a 9 -11 First Responder from Long Island, Queens, New York, and Cheryl, a retired Legal Assistant in Nashville, Tennessee, and a former native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, met while on vacation 2001 in Naples, Florida. After a two-year long distance relationship between New York and Tennessee, we decided to marry and make our permanent residence north of Nashville, Tennessee. We love to travel when we get a chance, we absolutely love the peace and tranquility of the Smoky Mountains. We are very grateful and blessed to own 2 cabins in Gatlinburg where the Smoky Mountains has so much to offer for each and every guest that comes to visit. So if you are looking for the perfect getaway with all the extras and the comforts of home, "Sacred Mountain" is a perfect cabin for you, your family and friends.

"Sacred Mountain" is a beautiful cabin which speaks for itself. From the top deck of the cabin, you can enjoy the views of Mt. LeConte. You can enjoy the sunrise while having your morning coffee and breakfast. After a long day of hiking, shopping or making memories, you can sit back and relax and watch the sunset in the hot tub or cool off in the pool. Gatlinburg is a short 3 mile drive from the cabin, along with the U.S. Post Office, Police and Fire Departments within 2 miles so you can put your mind at ease. The neighborhood supermarket with a pharmacy is also located a couple of miles west of the cabin. The Arts and Craft community is located 1/4 mile east and west of the cabin off Route 321 and has so many unique items, pottery shops, restaurants and more. Horseback riding stables, golf courses, hiking trails with waterfalls and picnicking are just minutes away. With all of the necessary amenities for a enjoyable vacation, we thought this location was the right choice in 2018.
