We had a great stay for a week here with our two sons. Perfect to walk to the beach, take bike rides and do a little fishing. Convenient and comfortable. The kitchen is good for a quick meal and there are restaurants in walking distance.

The perfect spot for a 2-night recharge!

Situated just a few blocks from the ocean, this house offered everything we needed: a clean house, comfy beds, 2 showers (indoor and outdoor), as well as a bonus rooftop deck! Also, whether heading out for the day or night in Lavallette or Ortley, everything is within comfortable walking distance, which we enjoyed! Greg was nice enough to meet us at the property, answering any questions we had. During our stay, it was good to know that he was nearby if needed.

Nice place few thing’s missing, small amount of $$ would make it much nicer.

The house was very clean and neat, much like listing. Rooftop deck was great any time of day. There was also additional seating in front and back deck (back could use more than one chair). Location was great with an easy walk to the beach. Plenty of parking in the area (although we were there off-season. As for thing’s missing, we cook a lot when we travel so these things are important to me they may not be to you. A Cutting board that isn’t glass would be a huge plus (not sure why people but these, to me cutting on one is like dragging fingers down a Blackboard), knives in kitchen were very dull (which happens with a glass cutting board). So either better knives or a knife sharpener. A few decent pans would be nice as well, especially a smaller non stick one. The one non stick pan isn’t the greatest. The other pans are adequate. The apartment is on the darker side, lights are compact fluorescent and really don’t provide enough light. While I understand linens aren’t included the lack of a bath mat or hand towel to me takes it a bit to an extreme. There are no beach chairs either so be prepared to bring your own. Outside gas grill and seating were fabulous. I also appreciated the spice rack in the house. Overall it was a good stay.

Great beach house

Stayed with two grandsons for Memorial weekend and it was the perfect beach house for us. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great rental and great location!

Greg was a superb host. Great communication, clear house instructions. Clean, modern and well appointed accommodations. Location was great. Convenient walking distance to all on a quiet street with ample on-street and off-street parking. We would rent again!

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at this property in Lavallette. Great location and in walking distance to beach, bay and restaurants. Property was clean and comfortable. Roof top deck is very relaxing after day at beach.

Perfect beach cottage with plenty of flair

Loved our stay! 1st is location: it was great! 3 blocks to beach, 1 block to bay, easy walk to restaurants, shops, and entertainment. 2nd is the house: immaculate, clean, comfy, and nicely equipped. The drip coffee pot, toaster, and gas range made for easy breakfast prep that ended up not really being needed once we tried the Sand Dollar Pancake House and Colonial Bakery ( both 2 blocks away and both recommended by Greg...outstanding!!) The beds were comfy, the washer and dryer were newer than my own and immensely helpful to have on hand. The roof top deck an absolute delight that we used every single day. There is a great seabreeze that never seems to end up there. The house is raised so there are lots of steps, which I was concerned about however I needn't have been. My 87 yr old grandfather who came to stay for a visit was able to get up and down with his cane and the help of the really sturdy handrails. He even got up to the roof top deck to enjoy a happy hour and we all had an absolute blast. Greg and his family are very proud to share this rental and their pride of ownership and pride of Lavalette really showed. From Greg's recommendations on food, to the thoughtfully appointed home away from home. We have used VRBO succesfully in the past, but I have to honestly say this was by far one of our favorite places to stay, and that is in large part due to this beautiful home. Oh, and the outdoor shower ROCKS!! Super hot and cold water, great pressure, a seperate foot rinse faucet and a dressing space meant I didn't shower indoors the whole time and am now considering installing an outdoor shower of my own and we don't live any where near the beach. Haha! Thanks so much Greg and Ann (and Greg senior who we also met during the week!) You have made our family vacation easy, memorable, and comfortable! We will be returning again for sure!

Relaxing time

My family enjoyed our stay. It was great to be next to the park for my son to play baseball while also in between the ocean and bay for my daughters. Bring a wagon for all your stuff if you plan to walk to the beach bc it’s a couple blocks away.. very much enjoyed our stay. Only downside was that we didn’t get to use the rooftop deck as much as we would of liked bc the week was so hot and there is no shade up there.

Beautiful Property and Great Location

I stayed with my two young boys the week of July 7 - 14 and we all loved the place. The home and property are beautiful and very functional and spacious. The rooftop deck is an amazing place for morning coffee or an evening drink. Other friends and their families were in Lavallette during the same time and they gushed about the home and enjoyed dinner grilling outside and relaxing on the rooftop deck. The street is very quiet and wide and made for a great place to ride bikes with my boys, even made a short trip to the bay where there are multiple playgrounds on the sand. The walk to the beach is easy, colonial bakery is a short trip as is the pancake house from the home, and of course the park and baseball/soccer fields right next door. Acme is a short drive as well. My little guys are already talking about staying here again. The owners are very easy to work with, responsive, and very welcoming.

Very nice house. Perfect for a family of 4.

Everything was great. The outdoor decking was a very nice aspect of the house. The beach was a quick walk and during the week there was no problem parking on a beach access street. On the bay side it was a 3 minute bike ride to the tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. House is very nice. Outdoor shower was great. We didn't use the indoor shower once. Would definitely rent again.

Summer breeze

When we arrived we found a newly renovated house. Everything was as listed and promised in the description. As his was a week with a full moon, we enjoyed the rooftop almost everything and watched the moon appear over the roofs. Nice little beach house in a quite neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay.

Great little house!

Great house....new and kept well. Outside shower was perfect. Great location for biking on bay side. We opted to drive to beach to avoid crossing 35 with kids. Only issue we had was airvent in small bedroom did not flow adequately so had to keep air conditioning set low which then caused it to be freezing in rest of house. Would have been great to have a ceiling fan in that room to help it stay cool.

Perfect House, Amazing Vacation

This house is just perfect, Greg and Ann have thought of everything you need to have a wonderful vacation. The house is clean, has a perfect setup and is close to everything. You can walk to the beach or the park. We stayed June 4-11, 2016 and it was my husband, 2 young sons and mother. There was plenty of room for all and the kids loved it. We will definitely be returning next year. Thank you Greg and Ann for a perfect vacation!

This great rental is in a charming neighborhood, across from a park. The owners have stocked the rental with everything you would need to make your vacation great. My husband LOVED the outdoor shower that had hot water! They have outdone themselves to make this a place you would want to return to.

Absolutely Perfect Vacation Shore House

We having been renting this house for at least five years now and have been thoroughly pleased with our experience each year. We originally found the listing for this home on this website years ago and were very nervous about what we would find the first time we drove down to stay here! However, we found that this house is PERFECT for my family of five plus my mom. It is CLEAN, updated, and has all the amenities we need. We enjoy cooking most of our meals, and find that the large kitchen is an ideal place to be. The location is also lovely, located on a nice wide street, directly across from a park, and within walking distance of the beach. We prefer to "ditch" our car for the week, and ride our bikes all around Lavallette. We have come to view this home as our "home away from home"--that is how comfortable we feel when we stay here!

Great getaway

We had a wonderful week staying at this great beach cottage. The house had all the comforts of home - it was extremely clean and very modern. We enjoyed the backyard and found the bbq grill to be top notch. It was only a short walk to the beach and we really enjoyed our evening strolls along the bay. We have been renting in Lavallette for many years and we found this home to be a true gem!

Perfect Weekend!

We've been staying here on Memorial day weekend for the past 3 years .. this year we rented both houses 135115 & 135519 with a group of friends and children. Everyone involved is incredibly nice and accommodating and helpful! You feel like you're staying at a family friends place! The place is clean, spacious with great outdoor area and not a far walk to the beach! Can't beat the park next door! Thanks!

Clean & Modern Home Away from Home!

We stayed for three weeks. The pictures on the internet reflect exactly what you get and we loved it! Three block walk to beach, right next to playground and baseball park and a few blocks to bay and basketball courts. Great for a family!

Great Place To Stay

We had such a great time during our stay. This house is so nice! It is very very clean and everything is new and well maintained. If we were not at the beach, we spent most of our time outside on the patio and on the roof top deck. Both areas are so nice. The owner Greg was a pleasure to deal with as was Greg Senior. They couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was a good one. Our stay was great! We would recommend this property to everyone and anyone…..you will not be disappointed if you stay here :)

Great beach vacation house!

This house was perfect for our beach vacation. It has been renovated beautifully, all new appliances, and kept immaculately clean. The rooftop deck was a pleasure, and grilling outside was wonderful. Location is perfect for kids as there is a small playground directly across the street. Greg is extremely responsive should one have any questions or requests. Loved it and hope to return next year!
